If Saints results are important to you, then the answer is obvious. With McCarthy in goal we average almost half the number of points that we do with Bazunu.
Bazunu average points per Saints Championship game = 1.9 McCarthy average points per Saints Championship game = 1.0
Over a season that means with McCarthy in goal we finish with 46 points and get relegated while with Bazunu we finish with 87 points and probably get promoted.

Most people can't see past the disappointment of the last game, so your well researched statistics which are undeniable will be wasted on them and based on emotion Macca will win the poll.
I wholly disapprove of what you say and will defend to the death your right to say it.

True. Prejudice nearly always prevails over reason.

The truth is neither of them are very good,so next month buy a GOALKEEPER .
If they were going to buy another keeper they would have done it by now Get used to it, Baz and Mac will be jostling for rgar shirt at least until the end of this season unless Tonda actually has any clout
I don’t thin that there is too much between them. They both have strengths and weaknesses. If we are going to continue to play out from the back then Baz is the obvious choice. We have a bigger issue up front. If we had a Ricky Lambert no one would be too bothered about the goal keeper.

Nice stats. You don't mention anything about 'how' each of them plays the position.
Because you have no idea what makes a good keeper.
McCarthy is an excellent shot-stopper, capable but not great at crosses, and poor at decision-making with the ball at his feet (he should never be played a ball under pressure because he does not see the pitch like an outfield player and takes too long to pick an outlet).
Bazunu is a poor shot-stopper who has terrible footwork, is too deep in his goal, doesn't cut the angles down, is purely reactionary, and can't read the game, but his distribution is OK. Good. Play him at centre-back then.

To cut through the impressionistic, subjective bullsh!t, which might work with gymnastics or ice skating, football is a team game and a good keeper is the one you get the best results with, and the results are twice as good with Bazunu as they are with McCarthy. Your subjective opinions are irrelevant. It's results that count.
