Can Saints Regain The Top Spot This Weekend ? 17th Nov 2020 10:22
Two weeks ago we were excited to find out whether we could firstly make the top of the Premier League and secondly whether we could stay there for the International break, sadly we couldn't achieve the latter, but could we jump back to the top spot this weekend, here we take a look at the weekend's fixtures and the chances of doing so. 4

It's practically impossible as Liverpool playing Leicester, so we'd need a draw in that game and for us to repeat out 6-0 win of 2007 at Wolves

I think our position is a little false anyway with so many teams having a game in hand.
All we can do is keep our heads down and try to pick up points. Wolves will be very tough particularly without the threat of Ings so anything will be a bonus.
We do seem to be quite resilient though so a win isn't out of the question if we keep our discipline and shape.

Stock standard boring reply would be that perhaps the table in November is not really relevant and that we should perhaps just focus on our own games one at a time.and not keep looking at league tables and getting all giddy and excited.

Isn't it good that we should be talking about regaining top spot though?!

3rd at best now if we win but that’s not too shabby

Edit although could be 2nd if Leicester draw and we win by 5 goals
