I find it strange strange that we have signed Jamie Jones until end of season.
I understand that that Macca has had surgery to a hand injury that will keep him out for a few weeks but why couldn't we have given our under 21 keeper a chance to join up with the first team squad.
Jamie Jones is 36 & only played a much lower levels so is probably not any better than our under 21 keeper.
We know it's only cover for Perezt & Long & will probably never be called on to play but I think it is demotivating for our young players who are trying to establish themselves at the club.

The club say they did this specifically to HELP the youngsters. Jamie Jones will be doing minor jobs to help out in training. He's not doing anything that helps him develop. The club didn't want to waste the time of the youngsters in doing this. They want the youngsters to be focused on their own development. Makes sense to me. | | | |

I do worry about the likelihood of Peretz getting a red card.
He can be somewhat on the rash side.
This would leave us rather exposed if McCarthy is injured, I fear. |  |

I wouldnt get too excited yet, I think that he has been signed as 4th choice, the pecking order is Peretz, McCarthy, Long & Jones .
Long is far more experienced at this level than Jones, so we have signed him as a cheap option should either Peretz or Long get injured whilst McCarthy is out. |  |

I think this is the same Jamie Jones who was playing in goal for Orient when we won 2-0 at Brisbane Road in 2011
