Why can't computers autocorrect 'your' to 'you're' according to context? It should be easy for a microprocessor (whatever that is) to differentiate between a possessive adjective (your) and a pronoun/verb contraction (you're), shouldn't it? Or possibly teachers could instil such distinctions (See also 'to' and 'too') |  | | |

It's because people in South Wales tend to pronounce 'their' and 'there' identically - to rhyme with 'square'. If people (including thick teachers) could simply remember that most people in Britain pronounce 'their' to rhyme with 'layer' it would be one less non-standard usage. I feel like Canute here though. | | | |

That's the problem.. they don't teach you.. they call you a lazy know it all b*stard.. and let you copy and paste stuff.. it is kind of chronic.. I've seen people studying a bachelor's.. use text language.. these IPhones are making them lazy.. Steve Jobs.. more like Steve 'Makes people lazy In' Jobs.. The best one's from youngsters.. I know how to make pasta bake.. and make it out to be revolutionary.. when they've looked it up on their IPhones though.. |  |
