I'd be suprised if gallaway didn't rejoin labour and get to be shadow foreign secretary. Why not, it appears the idiots are ruling the shadow asylum now.

If Galloway had been Foreign Secretary in the last Labor govt the world would be in a much better place.

Wouldn't have been involved in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Hundred of British soldiers lives saved. Thousands not injured.

Obviously the welfare of UK soldiers doesn't bother you.

I was very vocal at the time in my opposition to British involvement in these muddled foreign affairs as Clase and others on here will bear out. The lives of British servicemen was foremost in my thinking, don't go confusing me with some wretched red.

So in hindsight, would you have preferred the foreign policy of Corbyn or Blair at that time? Just asking.

I'd have taken no interest in what either had to stay, why would I? If either expressed a view that coincided with mine that's all it would be, coincidence. We wouldn't have arrived at the same place by anything like the same route.

Would that have included handing over the Falklands to the Argies ?
To chose between corbyn and Blair is like asking someone would they rather be shot in the right side of the head or the left side.

Well Galloway's not an MP for a start. Corbyn's election really has made some people take leave of their senses. Politics is going to be very amusing for the next few years.

What exactly would that have entailed? On the one hand cautioning inaction because you had sympathy with one set of semitic despots or urging action because you were the paid thing of another set of semitic despots?

Why on earth as a Briton, as a European, should I have to opt for either?

Well in fairness you did say the welfare of servicemen was paramount in your thoughts...and rightly so.

The question was put if there was no other choice which one would you have preferred to have been in power at the time?

Ok...would you have preferred the armed forces were taken into Iraq or kept out of Iraq by the government at that time?

No. What you're asking me is akin to enquiring who I would prefer as my Doctor, Crippen or Shipman!

What you're doing is drafting a deeply flawed syllogism:

A
I was against the war in Iraq.
Corbyn is a politician who opposed the war in Iraq.
Therefore I must be aligned with Corbyn.

B
Bony is against smoking in public places.
Hitler is a politician who enacted anti-smoking laws.
Therefore Bony is aligned with Hitler.

Deductive Reasoning can be a useful tool but a bit like a hammer it isn't always applicable to the task in hand.

Ok let's keep it simple.
