Thing is we play mostly youngsters in the first eleven selection. Which reduces us down to 21-23 average age at times. |  |

These kids we are boasting about are 22+, not exactly teenagers . The only way to build match fitness is to play more matches not rest. These are professional athletes and can't play three 90 minutes in a week. | | | |

Most used xi with correct weighting taking into account for number of games played places us by some distance the youngest.

When working out the average, it's not the average age of the squad that's important.
You need to look at the players who are playing, and how often they've played, and work out the average from that. | | | |
