Definitely a bracing walk over the railway bridge to Fairbourne and expect the whole place to be full of Birmingham City, Wolves and Villa supporters...

Mermaid chippy is ok and they have a fair. Nat Trust began on the hills directly above Barmouth. There's a popular place for food just outside baharmuth heading towards Harlech up the hill on the right hand side. Green buildings away from others. Never stopped there though.

Went rock climbing at Barmouth slabs with some mates at Uni. Couple of them were army sponsored members of the climbing club and went up in seconds without ropes to impress the girls with us. Made my skin crawl as I had no wish to see some guy's brains dashed out on the boulders below. Beautiful place though.

I have done a lot of walking around there, not a fun of Barmouth itself bit too commercialised and full of people from midlands, but great area visit Harlech Castle if you can.

Life is an adventure or nothing at all.
