I Apologise 17:49 - Oct 20 with 963 views | TimTtam | I am this CLUB'S bad luck charm. - I started supporting Swansea at the start of the 2015/16 season; the exact time that the Yanks bought the club - Ever since that point, we had an average season where we flirted with relegation, then through a miracle survived relegation, then fell in a heap and got relegated, and then finished mid-table in the second tier. Only now is there improvement - When we played Man City, before I had the stream on we scored 2 goals. Once I turned it on we scored no more - This season when I watch Swansea play, we are 2 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses (0 wins in the last 4 matches) - When I don't watch Swansea play, we are 4 wins, 2 draws, and 0 losses So in summary: - We will go undefeated in mid-week games, including both playoff legs - As I will be watching, we will concede in the 90th-minute or later of the playoff final. I've already watched Tranmere score in the 119th minute, and Charlton score at 90+4 this year [Post edited 20 Oct 2019 18:06]

Huh? It's a sporting term. The same as team, or club.

I don’t wish to be rude, some of your posts have been quite good. Franchise is not a term used on these islands in relation to soccer.

I Apologise on 01:17 - Oct 21 with 586 views | phact0rri | to be fair a franchise is a sporting term I hear in the US a lot and here it relates to a club's second name as its buisness label. Among other things, this is what makes it freely exportable for the right deal. Thats why here in Los Angeles we went from zero NFL teams to two in as many years. So you might see how this could be offensive to label a city's football club a franchise. [Post edited 21 Oct 2019 1:19]

That’s right. The term ‘franchise’, sticks two fingers up to community and camaraderie, which are among the main reasons people support their local club over one of the glory boys. I’d rather the Swans fold than relocate to Milton Keynes. I understand why overseas fans may not think it’s such a big deal though.
