These strikes in France on 19:06 - Jan 15 by felixstowe_jack | It is the UK taxpayers who pay subsidies to Uk farmers. The money goes via the EU who take a large percentage off for their expenses. The common agricultural policy was designed by the Fench to subsidise their inefficient small farmers who often have other jobs as well as small holdings. Tony Blair agreed to give back some of the UK's refund in return for the EU reforming the CAP. Needless to say the EU took our refund and kept the CAP. Our farmers have been promised they will receive the same amount of funds in the interim until a new system is put in place which favours environmental changes and consumer interest (lower food prices). |
Well be able to afford to pay farmers out of the £130bn we've lost already, or something The economic argument for Brexit is dead (not that that argment ever made sense in the first place). The losses of project Brexit far far outstrip the costs of membership over many years. And that's even before the imminent loss of the benefits of membership.

That is not a fact merely another prediction, you can say "I told you so" if and when you are right and not before.
