There are plenty of examples, like when Drizzy said that African tribes primarily sold slaves to white people was a myth when, at a certain point in history it was true.
We all twist and turn and not always deliberately, sometimes what we post is misunderstood (sometimes deliberately) and sometimes we just get it wrong.
The only thing that really annoys me is the constant stream of abuse that some posters seem to rely on to back up their opinion. As if calling someone names proves they are right. | |

One of the major problems today is that there really are "alternate facts", depending where, who and what you read.
Unfortunately it does not make getting to the truth any easier.

Yep and I'll add to that list the UK handbook for immigrants which describes a version of our colonial past that is hardly accurate, in fact, at best I would say it was using rose tinted glasses to look at our history.
If someone says that any monuments to our racist, slave trading history should be torn down and that and business that has profited from slavery and racism should be punished then many of our most famous brands would have their backs to a wall. Some are historically guilty, like those who cooperated with the Nazis and others are guilty of theuse of little more than slave labour today. Pretty much every Royal famiy in the world can watch out because in their pasts exists slavery, racism, despotism, discrimination and nepotism...a fair degree of idiocy possibly due to inter breeding too but that's another matter!
