You appear pretty clueless about what went on with Mueller. Trump was in charge of an investigation in to himself? If he was actually in charge he could have just shut down the investigation.
His team prosecuted and got conviction with a crooked judge one Paul Manaforte for exactly the same "crimes" as his bosses committed who the same team did not prosecute, because the were the Podesta brothers. The crime was from when he worked for the Clinton empire in 2014, way before he worked for the Trump campaign. How about General Flynn, setup by the FBI who along with the Mueller team withheld evidence from the Courts and defending council. The case is supposed to have been dropped because the DOJ no longer can pursue the case. Yet another crooked judge refuses to close that case. Then we have Trump's lawer found guilty of a crime that had nothing to do with Trump and is now publishing an "exposé" book about Trump.
So they try Trump associates and not one single crooked Democrat or FBI agent has been prosecuted.
The USA now has a two teir judicial system, one where republicans are setup, prosecuted for crimes that had already been dropped or historic crimes nothing to do with the actual investigation. The second teir is Democrats and their minions who can get away with lying, cheating, tax evasion, taking graft, black mailing foreign nationals for cash, people trafficking, rioting, looting, rape, murder & treason.

Trump being in charge, he could have shut it down, he chose not to because it would have made him look guilty, plus he knew Mueller had no real power to harm him
