Unfortunately the lunatics kept at bay here for decades have unfortunately escaped from their boxes and are running riot in the UK also now. And those in Westminster, the Bay of Plenty and elsewhere in authority are virtually encouraging such behaviour by various individuals or groups of nutters instead of getting a grip on matters.

The higher reaches of society moan about discrimination but often it's just a tool to further their careers. The people who know all about true discrimination are the poorset, that's true whether you are black or white. There is a glass ceiling for most of us that didn't go to the right school, don't have the right family name, connections or know the right handshake. At least being white means I haven't had to face racism on a daily basis.

I disagree there is a glass ceiling, you can do whatever you want in this life regardless of what school you went to, what your name is, what colour your skin is or what your preference of partner is. The common denominator is hard work and determination added with talent. Make the right decisions and there is nothing stopping anybody achieving what they set their mind to. Invisible barriers are often put in people’s mind, especially in the African American community with the likes of BLM creating imaginary scenarios that they are being hunted and killed by white cops. Racism being a daily part of life in the Western world is just simply a myth. Hence the need for a growing number of fake hate crimes.

When, if ever, have you experienced racism? There have been plenty of experiments done in the past where people with your viewpoint have voluntarily "blacked up" and spent a week going about their business. By the end of it - if they last a week - they've performed a complete volte-face. I don't know where you live - I imagine in a white majority area - but maybe you should put your money where your mouth is and "become" Asian for a week. Or maybe, to make it easier, you could walk into the roughest pub in, I dunno, Chester or Wigan, wearing a T shirt with WELSH & PROUD emblazoned on the back.

It’s not absurd at all. Its common sense, I have lived in many black dominant and mixed neighbourhoods all over the world. To suggest racism is a daily part of life in the Western World is pure fantasy and race baiting. Just complete dross.

Anybody who has spent time in Asia will know that racism isn't just a Western phenomenon. Actually I think we are in a period where a certain amount of anti-White discrimination is visible in the UK, especially when it comes to working-class White youth.

I've probably experienced more anti-white racism (first-hand, in my face, deeply unpleasant, personal) than all the right wing moaners on here put together. And yet, saintly, tolerant liberal that I am, I can rise above it and see the bigger picture. (Having said that, if I could get each one of those racists on their own in a small room, my sudden intolerance would manifest itself in the administration of sound thrashings 😇) | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Indeed, Asia there is a lot of racism. Australia there is racism towards indigenous people there but there are complex reasons for that as opposed to not liking someone due to their race. In terms of black vs white however, a lot of the racism seem to come from African Americans towards other African Americans. They have deep rooted race issues (understandable years ago) but it is unfortunately handed down parent to child, generation upon generation. If you wanted to count up actual racial slurs side by side (and I don’t mean the reclaimed n*gga slang they use) I mean actual derogatory racial slurs, it wouldn’t even be close. African Americans are horrifically racist to their own, calling them coon and Uncle Tom at the drop of a hat, simply for being Republican. Awful to hear such close minded hate.

You (and a few other foools) keep saying "it's common sense" and yet if it was truely "common sense" there would be next to no detractors...essentially you are talking shIt again. Good talk.

That’s only if assuming that common sense is widespread yes? Can you tell us then where racism is a part of every day life? Let’s take a random bloke for example who works in a post office. He gets up, gets dressed and goes to work. When he gets on the bus do you think the driver says “sorry mate, none of your kind here” and then has to walk. When he gets there he attempts to take a woman’s post and she says “excuse me is there someone of more preferential colour to take my mail?”. On his way home and he stops for some chips and the chippie says “sorry mate you can have the scraps, these are reserved for the whiteys”. I’d love to know where people get this sh*t from, I really would.
