Your thread is about Hamilton being a tax exile. People are decrying it. I’m pointing out that two white British F1 drivers have done exactly the same. It’s called a balanced debate. |
I also called the prat a prat or did you miss that bit? And I still didnt see the other 2 ex-F1 tax-dodging drivers standing up accepting a trophy as a Brit this weekend, so why did you decide to bring in the other drivers? I think we are all aware its common practice in F1 to live in Monaco.

They didn't pretend to be something that they weren't. Hamilton plays politics and is a fraud when you examine how he lives his own life versus his apparent political beliefs.

Green credentials have nothing to do with the context I was using. Secondly, have I anywhere defended Hamilton the bloke? Nope, so you’re engineering a disagreement with me about something I haven’t said.

Actually you suggested people were only having a go at Hamilton because he's black. You know, when you said we wouldn't have a go at Coulthard or Button because they are white. You very much brought colour into it.

No I did not. Read it all again. I contributed to a thread that already had his colour bought into it. Don’t be selective.

As Cat pointed out, you brought colour into it. I only posted in response to a point you made that Button and Coulthard are judged by different standards because of their skin colour. I pointed out that they aren't being criticised for not paying tax whilst living in Monaco because they didn't dabble in UK politics whilst they did so. Colour had nothing to do with it. Having read on now I can see that a few posters pointed this out to you, it really shouldn't need explaining.

If you are referring to Andy's previous comment about Hamilton being mixed race and living a lifestyle that some would associate with "White privilege" (I believe his tongue was in his cheek)....well, Hamilton supports BLM and has been very public about it. BLM talks about White privilege. Nothing racist about what Andy posted, he is just pointing out the facts and the hypocrisy.

No I most definitely didn’t say they’re judged by different standards. Look, this whole rewriting what I haven’t written thing is pretty boring so I’ll leave it there. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

"Great sportsman, probably the best racing driver ever. Oh yeah and Coulthard and Button did the Monaco thing too, but they’re white so it won’t be mentioned" The above is what you said, exactly what you said. Tell me that doesn't suggest we're being racist because we wouldn't say anything about Coutlhard or Button, because "THEY'RE WHITE SO IT WON'T BE MENTIONED" To others on here it very much reads that we are only having a go at Hamilton because he's black which is definitely not the case.

Are Coulthard and Button currently pushing a lie regarding the oppression of black people then? Are they demanding all racist symbols be destroyed while wearing one on their heads and taking millions from another? If so show me and I will also call them hypocrites, moronic ones too. The race of the hypocrite doesn’t come into it.

Mike holding trying to bully them to start again. Just wish the footballers would stop. They have been doing it for months now. How long are they going to keep doing it for?

Until they feel they can stop and not lose public virtue points. Probably when enough people realise that BLM is absolutely nothing remotely to do with race. Getting there but not quite yet.

Fangio Moss Senna Prost Ascari Clark All IMO better especially regarding Fangio as he won 5 with different cars as opposed to Lewis driving a car so superior in every way. Same with Schumacher with his Ferrari. A for entertaining driver, study Stirling Moss oeuvre as that was the most charismatic driver ever. Hamilton is a parody ,a hypocrite and a very good driver.

Moss, regularly called the greatest driver never to have won the championship. I won't say Hamilton isn't a great driver but today the cars can be very different to back in Moss's day, across the teams I mean. Back then the cars were much more basic and very similar. Today an average driver has a great chance if he's in the right car. Put them all in the same cars, exactly the same and then make them race, then we'd see. At the moment it's not really about the best driver but about the best team. That said, the history books are going to show that Hamilton was the most succesful driver of all time, i'm pretty confident of that.

| Lewis Hamilton on 09:37 - Sep 16 with 456 views | onehunglow | Fair riposte but when ever anyone calls any sportsman the greatest, there is always conjecture. Splitting hairs and going off topic for a sec, greatest heavyweight boxer always caues friction and debate. Difference for me between greatest boxer (Ali) and champion (Dempsey) Back on topic,in identical cars,I would say Moss/Fangio-all day long as greatest drivers. People need to imagine Hamilton driving in the Mille Miglia in a typical car of the time with the lask of protective personal equipment and cars that were basically death traps | |

I do think Hamilton is one of the all time greats. I was partial to Schumacher back in the day. I thought he was awesome as a driver and got a lot of unfair criticism during his career. Senna Tw@ts Prost in Japan to win the title, legend. Schumacher does it to Hill in 94. A$$hole. Must be because hill was a Brit. He wasn’t perfect by any stretch (Juarez 97 and Austria 01??) and yes like LH had by far the best car and was THE no 1. Lewis does great in qualy and is very good in the rain but he is rarely challenged. Bottas is pish and there’s no Team remotely close to merc. Only time he was properly challenged in 16 he was beaten narrowly. Also one thing that skews the records is that in schumis day there were less races compared to the 21ish a season nowadays. Hence the records tumbling Oh and Lewis comes across as a right div in matters outside the sport but that’s my opinion. [Post edited 16 Sep 2020 23:01]
