Painful.just caught the opening two mins before reaching for the sick bowl.

We won this together in March. What?

We will fight this together

We will unite and beat this

We can ...

Man is a clown in another world.

Noel Gallagher, washed up coke head said it how it is,” wearing a mask is an infringement of personal liberty”.We have a nation believing this.

We are nation of dickheads ,selfish and self centred many of whom simply won’t stick a piece of cloth on their face to travel on a train even though...It’s the rules. Rules myarse.

We do not enforce these rules so why bullshite people into thinking they can work .

Until we enforce these rules we will never beat this curse.

Or are you going to wish me sex and travel again

As much as I am sorry for you for not even having the courage to tell me to F off, pitiful as such comment is in lieu of cogent argument, I feel if recent comments are honest, then such behaviour will no longer be acceptable.

Unless of course you are prepared to swear on all you hold dear that wishing me sex and travel was actually some weird attempted good wish.

In which case I profoundly apologise and in line with your sincere although uncomfortable good wishes, I will try and respond in a manner that seems comfortable to you and hope your menstrual cramps are not too severe.

However, please don’t deign to instruct me what to discuss, nor impose parameters upon me, nor offer me the floor, as it is not yours to give

OK.

Well do me the courtesy of not assuming what I will say or do on others posts.

What is more pitiful is you pushing how much more intellectual you are than I.

You obviously fail to understand I am mimicking the kind of comment you recently made to me.

Re your second point. Sorry when did I ever suggest I was more intellectual than anyone. But FYI common sense, life experience, and plain logic are amongst the things I value most. That and honesty.

I do however recall you specifically stating you were above average intelligence. I would not consider myself intellectual at all, and find your suggestion bizarre. In fact I can totally honestly say comparison of our intellects (such as they may be) has never even crossed my mental horizon.

I am more than happy to acknowledge you as massively more intellectual than me if that makes you feel better, I have no aspirations in that direction. But if I was you I would look for someone more worthwhile to pit yourself against if such things are important to you.

I do find your comments (not necessarily to me) rather judgemental, and find it amusing you repeatedly find the need to use the old you against us, to infer you speak for the whole forum for instance, in order to try and give authority to your points.

You actually previously implied I didn’t pull others up on this, but to be honest I have not specifically noticed others using the Royal we in terms of suggesting they also speak for everyone else on the forum. But please feel free to point out instances of others doing this if you have them.

Er no, recently I posted that you have jumped-in to support conservative posters...not a comment just a statement of fact.

You've often put me down obliquely and posted a verbiage of words and you like pointing out that you use cogent and coherent sentances, you mentioned your degree(s) psychology and you've "offered" to use your knowledge to assist me...I think I replied along the lines of a refusal and called you Napoleon.

No, I once stated that I'm barely above average intelligence and the rest of your sentance is false modesty. Whilst your next sentance is ...well the real you exposed just as it has been when you've argued with Uxbridge, Lisa, and Phil.

Yes I've admited to being a bit of an absolutist, yes I'm judgemental and vociferous and yet you often jump in to support conservative posters who do the same as I (more so in the past now as I see less posting from you)

Remember the genesis of this evenings back and forth started after I pointed out to a poster that they had made a goundless comment and you used it to have a dig at me when you replied to the Professor.

I'll try to give your posts a wide berth in future but if you once again jump in on a conversation your're not involved with just to get snitty at me then expect turnabout.

We'll never know, but I really think he would have.

Yeah, he'd have siphoned even more public money into his mates/donors pockets than the Tories have managed. Easily. Corrupt fecker that he is.

Ayanda Capital's shareholders (for example) would have been even more quids in.

Your post is the dictionary definition of subjective. Do you want to back up what 'I really think' with anything objective?

In that case,we should ALL be adhering to the advice given . That means doing what we are told. This is our problem. We don't and can't as we know better.

We have people actively demonstrating about distancing and masks,as if they have proven conclusive evidence that wearing masks and keeping distances has no effect. Surprised they dont suggest washing hands has no effect and that is attack on personal freedom.

As for NZ, it is twice as big a Birmingham and as big a population as Greater Manchester. Parts of it are very built up and parts where poverty exists. It is geographically isolated by heavily populated . I sand by what I say. We have no excuses.Look the fook around.

That was his impression of Churchill his hero.
I wonder if he will deploy the troops against his own people like his hero

A bit like scargill using his foot soldiers to try and bring down the state and prevent people from exercising their legal right to work.

Jump off that high horse you ride buddy, you know about as much as I, just how Corbyn would have handled things, I just gave my opinion on a question, if that's it's ok with you.

Apologies. Was a bit OTT. I'd just been reading about the contracts the Tories have been doling out like confetti during the pandemic when I read your post.

Anything specific leading you to your conclusion? Just curious.

I think it is great the conservatives are spending money to protect jobs during the crisis the furlough and job support schemes have kept over a million people off the dole. I would have thought even the most committed socialist would applaud this.

Yet they want more and more still, not caring where its coming from.

Someone has to pay for all this and it wont be simply the rich/fat cats.

I think Surak is doing a great job in the circumstances and best Chanellor we've had in years. A certain Prime Minister if the Tories are smart;they probably aren't.

Good news is no good at all for Sir Keir et al. They ,like all politicians just seek power.

I wasn't talking about that I was talking about PPE contracts. Perhaps I should have been clearer.

https://www.ft.com/content/27d

From the article:

'So far the government has published about 80 of the PPE contracts. The largest was a £252.5m contract awarded to Ayanda Capital, a family investment firm that specialises in “currency trading, offshore property, private equity and trade financing”, according to its website.

Ayanda, which was contracted to supply masks to healthcare workers, is run by Tim Horlick, a former investment banker, and controlled by the Horlick family via a holding company registered in Mauritius.'

No doubt you'll continue to defend the indefensible.
