| Manchester Arena inquiry 16:29 - Oct 20 with 2477 views | britferry | A British Transport Police officer, who was decorated for her bravery after the attack, took a 2 hour break with a colleague to buy a kebab, when they were only allowed an hour. She was on duty at the train station where he arrived. If just one of them had been at their post, he could have been stopped. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ne | |

| Manchester Arena inquiry on 18:46 - Jun 17 by Lohengrin | If you remember not too long after the bombing one of the young security guards was asked why the murderer hadn’t been challenged? His answer was that it was too much hassle fronting Asians. They play the race card straight away and he could have ended up on a disciplinary with work or being questioned by the police. It was an honest answer and this is where the madness has led us. |
Surely as a security guard he can talk to whoever he has suspicions of?

Anyone can talk to anyone, but security guards have no more power than you or I, the same for bouncers. They can refuse entry, and escort you out, but police are the key to things like this.

But it's routine procedure to search bags before allowing entry to anywhere such as this. Any security guard on any pay level could be expected to do this. It's not difficult to understand even given the potential hassle the bomber may have given him.

There appear to be lots of failings. Search on entry is expected in lots of places, but this attack happened at the end of the concert when the focus was elsewhere. There are lots of errors which resulted in a tragic loss of life and numerous injuries to others which could have been avoided.
| Manchester Arena inquiry on 01:19 - Jun 19 with 503 views | Ajack_Kerouac | Listening to the reporting on this on Radio 4 angered me. So now the luvvies responsible for importing the people who hate this country, the luvvies responsible for telling everyone coming in that they don’t need adapt and become British, who are responsible for the Blair years and the subsequent Iraq war, responsible for making everyone terrified to point out the bleeding obvious by labelling such people ‘racists’, the people responsible for labelling stop and search as ‘racist’ ...these luvvie cretins now want to say that one of the teenagers employed as security, or one of those inherently nasty police officers , should have stopped and searched a Muslim with a suspiciously large bag? ...should have risked having a complaint of racism made against them as well as risk their own life? (none of these luvvies would be brave enough to speak the truth, nevermind put their own life on the line) Naaaah.the responsibility chain goes like this; 1 - the young Muslim man who committed the act 2 - anyone who assisted him 3 - the Muslims who brainwashed him and filled his heart with hate. 4 - the Luvvie morons of the Left 5 - the security firm and the luvvie morons responsible for police oversight 6) individuals not doing their job correctly What underlies this way of thinking is the idea that this is normal and unless we plan for military attacks at kids venues then it is we who are responsible for the consequences | |

That was my understanding of it. He came in towards the end of the gig, probably through a gate/doorway opened up to allow people to leave freely at the end. People only get searched on their way into events. I do have a certain sympathy for the security staff. As previously discussed, a lot of them are just young 'uns with an SIA badge earning £40-50 a gig for extra cash. They're there more to give directions than deal with terrorism.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

The only way to guarantee safety AND avoid racism claims is to search absolutely everybody coming into events. Tha would probably mean employing more staff for searching AND longer waits. Then security would have to be at the exits making sure nobody wanders in like this murdering bomber did. I hope people are prepared for the even higher prices, longer queues and waiting times this will cause.

I’m sorry that’s more of a cop out than any real kind of objection. He said he’d tell the police instead (allegedly ) but no.
