| UK breaking up on 11:18 - Oct 29 by felixstowe_jack | The people of NI have voted to remain a part of the UK . There will never be peace unless people accept the democratic wishes of others. |
By the next ni election there will be a catholic majority in Belfast if not already and will soon by a majority in the whole of the north it's just a matter of time for unification. Since your on the topic of democratic views northern ireland voted to remain in the eu but yet they are leaving? Double standards much.

Don't get too excited as it won't happen and if it does then it will see a return to violence only this time the protestant paramilitaries will take over the killing role of the IRA. Dont they ever learn.

No not really it was a uk wide referendum and the UK voted to leave the EU . It is a bit like saying Mumbles voted for the conservatives and they should have a conservative MP. The whole constituency voted in favour of Labour and have a labour MP. The UK voted to leave EU You might remember ROI voted to reject the treaty of Lisbon but were told to vote again. Are you seriously suggesting different parts of the ROI should have left or stayed in the EU depending how they voted. Can't you see how silly that looks. If you have a national vote it is a national result. [Post edited 29 Oct 2020 11:37]

There where 4 different national results, baring a very slim majority in Wales the only country that voted to leave the eu was england. Are you now saying that wales Scotland and northern Ireland are not countries? England wanted to leave the eu, the Scots didnt want it the northern irish didnt want it and without the influx of english people living in wales which tilted wales in to leave then wales would have been remain to this has been proven . Once again its english dominated british nationalism forcing its will on all other parts. This is nothing new. I'm glad that in the near future the union will be gone.

The loyalist paramilitaries were killing more civilians than the IRA was, didn't the troubles start with loyalists killing Catholic civilians. You won't catch me taking sides out there we should have nothing to do with them, why British nationalists take sides with the instigators and the ones that was treating the indigenous population as second class citizens in their own country is beyond me, perhaps it's because of a similar shared religion, personally I rather pray to the sun and rain God's and Goddesses myself.

Not sure there was ever a pure indigenous population in Ireland. They people of Ireland and Scotland were always crossing the water and have been doing so for 100s of years. That is why Scotland has such a large population descended from Irish immigrants.

You have me confused. The germans sent 20000 rifles to aid the irish rebels. Fortunately the ships were intercepted and scuttled by their Captains

When the Border Poll comes along, be sure to check out who wins .... Ireland will be united and free. Brexit has ensured that outcome. The British Army has no place on the island of Ireland.

Sorry Loh, not my opinion ... these are his own words .. ‘Opponents (in Italy) tested Charles’ to the very limit, although the roughhouse treatment — sly kicks, stamps and spitting — would always be brushed off with the Welshman choosing to smile and shake hands with the protagonists. On one such occasion in a game against Inter Milan, Benito Lorenzi attempted a unique way to rile Charles by making unsavoury comments about the Queen. “She’s not my Queen, I’m Welsh,” an unfazed Charles responded. Boniperti and SÃvori would not stand for such behaviour towards their teammate and would very often deliver their own justice on Charles’ behalf’. ‘She’s not my Queen, I’m Welsh’ .... If the people of NI vote to leave the UK I will respect their democratic decision. Currently NI is part of the UK as UK troops have every right to be based in any part of the UK. Hopefully you can them move to your beloved paradise instead of posting your bile on this forum.

I am sure the people of Ireland will be delighted with your approval. Sure to mean an awful lot after what they have been through. ‘Ireland [...] Not free merely, but Gaelic as well; not Gaelic merely, but free as well’ .

I am very relaxed thank you . Swansea born and bred and making the most of my opportunities to travel anywhere in the UK while also supporting the economy of Wales as a owner of a business in Wales.

The film that shows even when Ireland got independence they still insisting on fighting each other rather than have peaceful negotiations. What a tradegy for the ROI.

Onfield banter from John Charles CBE... I’m not saying he was some sort of ardent Monarchist, I doubt he gave the matter any thought at all but there was a framed photo of John being presented by The Queen hanging on the wall of The Peacock when he was the landlord, it’s probably still there now.
