| Car driven in to a police station in London 23:44 - Nov 11 with 1605 views | KeithHaynes | Video of the incident is pretty dramatic. People running away as the driver set fire to the road around him, and of course the police running towards him and taking him out by wrestling him to the ground. | |

| Car driven in to a police station in London on 21:57 - Nov 13 by Boundy | Not sure of rooting for the criminals but there are many everyday folk who no longer trust the police to do their jobs without fear or favour . Once you lose that then that's when the generation resentment can manifest itself. Look at London recently where there appears to be a two tier system of policing , bending the knee seemingly supporting a political group, inaction against those who desecrated monuments/memorials or watching on whilst a protest was held outside the French embassy held by a group of muslims then we have scenes of peaceful protesters being kettled and attacked with batons . |
Yeah I don't disagree some police are bad. It's a profession, every single profession has good and bad. But I just find it ironic that the same people that scream to de-fund the police then call them as soon as they need them. Those that call profiling and stereotyping grave injustices then make sweeping statements about police. We have seen the latest trend where it does not matter at all what the criminal did, if he comes to any harm then there is riots. Even if he was wielding a knife and charging at the officers. It's bonkers.

Maybe I'm naive but the law profession (certainly those who are there on the ground to uphold the law) should be as I've posted before be beyond reproach.I'm not anti law and order. far from it, but I am against those who put on the uniform and swear an oath to uphold the law then break those laws themselves sometimes with tacit approval of those above them .

A point of order and I'm not disagreeing with your position but ...the police are NOT the "law profession". They often think that way (a family member is a great example of the thin blue line) but they are not, as that is the remit of lawyers and judges...and I do accept the problem with dodgy lawyers.

| Car driven in to a police station in London on 10:20 - Nov 14 with 412 views | onehunglow | So what makes a good copper? Fact remains the Police are trusted more than the Legal Profession and many other profession where the clients are fleeced unmercifully . Laws are passed by politician many of whom are Barristers. Little chance then of laws being straight forward. It's why laws need legal chaps to explain things to us thick dummies who then pay for the privilege. Fact is Police are the barrier between anarchy and us. | |

Couldn’t agree more. One of the hardest jobs on the planet and demonised by politicians and media to drive certain narratives.

The Police, trusted more than Doctors, teachers , engineers? Get a grip mate The Police are only there to bring those who may or may not be guilty of a crime before the courts. Courts then decide, not the Police

Depends on who you are. Most people I know who dislike the police have failed to become police officers.

It's not me who is making assumptions. You stated the police are trusted more than other Professions. Why do you come to that conclusion, is it just because you were on

I can only speak from personal experience but from the situation involving a family member of mine in the last year I can categorically state they are completely and utterly useless.
