I think his statement that the two week firebreak was a success must be the most deluded statement ever made by a politician as cases soared in Wales. [Post edited 26 Dec 2020 11:29]

Then why is Wales infection rate in the last seven days the highest of any of the four nations as well as the most total cases and highest death rates. All stats available from the independent ONS rather than a Welsh lobbyist group.

How the hell can you claim it was a success, it was, and continues to be a shambles.

Why did cases rise so suddenly after it then? Also, as we now know there were many positive tests that weren't made public, held up in the ether, how many of those came from that period? Truthfully, the firebreak would have been a success if it had been longer. I said it at the time and with hindsight, finding out about this new strain, it would have helped there too.

Besides which you could put a road block up with one police officer and a few soldiers, who is going to argue? The police can retain control but backed up by the uniforms surely more people would take it seriously? |
We can't have road blocks without some kind of martial law and curfew, certainly not on the mainland old chap, it's just not cricket

Makes you wonder what would happen in a real conflict brought to our mainland. People ,let's face it,cannot handle being told what to doand we are bringing up kids to believe they can get away with anything

That's because we aren't seeing consistency. It appears to many young that the rich and privileged can get away with anything. They can see this through a more accessible media, whereas in the past they couldn't
