| Southampton striker Michael Obafemi 12:42 - Jan 3 with 3752 views | KeithHaynes | Just heard he is in talks today regards a temporary loan deal to join us in the coming days. Any thoughts ? Stumbling block will be costs, could be the only thing that scuppers this.

£10k per week at Saints it seems.

Would need to be automatic starter for us on those wages, and that's stating the obvious, he will be back up imo.
| Southampton striker Michael Obafemi on 11:47 - Jan 4 with 1116 views | Thornburyswan | I guess we need to see how much of the £10K we are offering to cover & what saving there would be assuming Gyokeres was returning to Brighton - would not see this lad coming in as a starter day 1 but would expect him to get game time to cover Lowe/Ayew from the bench initially. | | | |

12,500 a week with appearance and other incentives as add ons I'm reliably told. Thats a hundred k a month for five months, half a million if Southampton insist on a full deal. Better off going for one of the two lower league lads we know about from yesterday on permanent contracts IMO.

If the wages Keith has been told are accurate, and we are paying 100% of them, then I agree he could well be off.

Lucky it happened yesterday, and not after he signed. If it's not meant to be it's not meant to be.

Our recruitment does seem to have improved again, I'm sure Cooper has others in mind. Personally, bearing in mind I was happy to see him leave back in the last window, now I think I'd prefer Ayew stayed because he gives so much to the team. If I criticise him now it'd be because he is just trying too hard, I think he needs to relax a little bit and let others carry a bit more weight, they are up to it.
