With the number of cases rising fast in elite football players are being told not to celebrate the goals with the huddles and cuddles.

I haven't understood why they were allowed to anyway?

More games are off this weekend, Derby are going to field a full team of U23 and U18's because the whole first team squad are isolating. If the footballers want football stopped again they are going the right way about it.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

You’ll all have something else to cry about now when it’s all knocked on the head.

We're not the ones crying though, you are. It's you moaning football just won't be the same if players cannot celebrate up close and personal.

The rest of us are being pragmatic in te hopes of football carrying on.

If players cannot do socially distanced celebrations then football will stop. I suppose you'll be happy then.

I find it sad that people cannot tolerate small changes to try and keep life going as normally as "possible"
We all knowit's nowhere near the normal of years gone by and might never be again. If people can't change or at least tolerate change then we deserve what we get.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt, in that you think wuss, is some form of insult?

Would i be correct, or are you angling for a bit of nonsense.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

It won’t stop though, you’ll move onto the next thing, marking, tackling, they are even on about banning heading it now because of the dementia risk.

People want to whinge about anything and it’s getting boring.

It’s an emotional sport, look at those kids yesterday scoring against Liverpool, how can you teach someone not to react like that. Ask trundle what scoring feels like, if team sports need to stop, then stop them, don’t start making ridiculous rules.

It absolutely wasn't an insult, it was a similar greeting as you've just used - fella.

You are translating the pronunciation as something completely different. Wuss is a common greeting in place of mate, fella, pal etc.

Intimidation? Behave will you.

I hope we celebrate seven times today. In whatever form it comes in.

OK I've changed it.

But anyway, my last word.

I’d wager football players are the least of worries in terms of spread of Covid, in general they are all in their own bubble, they work throughout the week together, they are scrutinised more than anyone else if they break any sort of lockdown rules, they are tested twice a week.

If we are going to start changing things, I’d rather it be completely stopped. It’s an emotional game and if players are going to be asked to act like robots then I don’t see the point.

Edit - genuinely, what is the point in changing the way the game is played, if the players are going to be boarding a bus, or even a plane together half hour later? Should rugby stop scrummaging? Having a go at young lads/ladies celebrating an important goal, nah not for me.

Wuss, A weak or ineffectual person, ( Often used as a general term of abuse) do you use that term often

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

As explained to Risca, it was not used as an insult, it is a common greeting around here and pronounced completely different to that variant. And yes, i use it many times.

Why are you trying to shit stir?

Makes no odds if you have heard it or not, although i suspect you have seeing as you worked in Tata for most of your life.

Pronounced similar to puss, but replace the p with a w.
