| Tesco, helping spread the virus. 18:31 - Jan 9 with 2879 views | builthjack | So I went to do some shopping this morning. Shoppers, after loading their cars, put the trolley neatly back into the trolley stations. The next shopper takes that trolley, and goes to the store entrance with it. THEY HAVE PUSHED THE TROLLEY 50/60 metres THEN SPRAY IT. TOO LATE. SO EVERY TIME A PERSON TAKES A TROLLEY THEY HAVE A CHANCE OF CATCHING THE VIRUS. Why on earth can't Tesco clean the trolleys every time a shopper uses them. Soacial distancing non existent in the store. Some fools with no masks. No gel when leaving the store. Some staff stocking shelves with no masks on. I could go on and on. Killers. | |

| Tesco, helping spread the virus. on 20:43 - Jan 9 by Jack123 | No, as I pointed out even after scrubbing the trolley and gelling your hands upon entry to the store, you still have to pick up the products which as I said god knows how many people have touched. So I never scrub the trolley upon entry, for me there is no point. |
It's a good job you aren't queuing in front of me then.

| Tesco, helping spread the virus. on 20:38 - Jan 9 by Dr_Winston | Utterly ignorant. Both my parents have COPD. Both are exempt from mask wearing. Deal with it. |
Maybe the shops should have times for those exempt so that they are all there together? If they have pre-existing conditions it should be safe as they will all be extra careful, you'd hope. People have to accept changes to our normal lives or we will continue to spread it. We have a delivery coming tomorrow, haven't been toa supermarket in 3 weeks, since they announced tier 5. Shouldn't the supermarkets be doing more, having phone ordering systems for those elderly people who can't do the internet? Have we really become so selfish and lazy that we (well big businesses) can't do more to save lives? Are people rrlly so lazy and/or stupid they can't manage a trolley, a quiclk spray and wipe, gel their hands and get on with it without touching their faces? My wife hasn't left home without a bottle of gel sanitiser in months.

Dubai had a complete shutdown. Shopping was in designated slots which were given to people.Miss your slot -tough. Problem is our whole culture of accepting sh1itheads who defy rules, regulation, laws and guidelines because---they simply want to. We should be merciless with this trash and Boris has been shamelessly craven in tbiis regard. And some clown think this is a Police State or a right wing extreme government. I wish

You would have your trolley sprayed for you. No threats. It would be done. It may save your life. No need to thank me.

Nice gesture, but like I said what is the point when walking around the store, you could be picking up products that have been handled by many, coughed or sneezed on.. I understand your anguish, it's pretty hard not to worry with what's going on! Anyway stay safe YJB

By the way, have you forgotten about the thread you started about customer safety in supermarkets? I guess so. You need a good memory in this game kiddo. STAY SAFE. [Post edited 9 Jan 2021 21:17]

Looking at that link, it does make me think I have seen many elderly workers in Asda and Tesco, many above 60.. And there's a lovely old fella in Asda LLansamlet, he must be at least mid 70's always a smile, lovely bloke.

Not tried them. Sainsbury’s are good but difficult to get a slot. Morrison’s always have slots....but you don’t always get what you ordered and they don’t let you know until the final bill comes in on collection day.

Back in the summer, I used Morrisons once, really bad experience.. all i will say is if you ever use them don't allow subs, because the starving bastar*s will put top of the range on instead, unlike Asda they do a sub and charge same price.

The gel if the correct type will remain on the trolley, and Will be able to continue to kill bacteria for a period of time after you have possibly touched a non clean item after applying it, same for your hands. It’s like masks, they work to an extent, it’s obvious. It does all help.
