Firemen, police etc can social distance, you try telling 5yr olds to keep 2m apart. It's impossible.

You've never had the experience of tackling someone who's basically got nothing to lose by killing you mano a mano..
These criminals, the barsrads, dont distance for sure.

As for firecrew,be worried if they do next time your kids are on the top floor of your house whilst the bottom is burning or if you have to be cut out of your car after youve crashed it into a wall and have a limb in danger of leaving your body.

As for paramedics...

And how does your virology experience stack up against the centre for European disease control?

We'll see.

Seems the chief medical office Whittingham is a bit concerned too

Freeman of the land strikes again, you are one dangerous individual

i'm going to ask you a question, but I don't expect an answer I'm sure everyone would agree that not every person or group can be protected at the same time. What would be your list of priority? Would you prioritise the mental state of some children over the health of their parents and grandparents? What amenities would you open up first and why? What would be your timeline and why?

Hopefully a constructive answer instead of trolling would be nice for once.

Police cant. They cant stay 2 metres away when they are arresting someone. A taxi driver is right next to someone in the front seat. If you put some up the list you have to move others down and doing that would mean putting people who are more at risk down. If anyone should be moved up it is police taxi drivers and supermarket workers who are amongst it but there is clear evidence the older you are the more at risk you are.

Police should be near the top of the list, but taxi drivers shouldn't have passengers sitting next to them, that is a choice. They should be sat in the back behind the passenger seat, that was the advice initially, no idea if its changed.

Edit , 1 passenger at a time obviously

I dont think anyone can really set a timescale as nobody knows what will happen with the virus. It is a stupid question for journalists to ask and the politicians who are making these kind of promises are totally irresponsible.

My list of priorities would remain as they are. Saving lives should come first and it is clear from the deaths that the current order of vaccination is correct.

If I was to move anybody forward the emergency services would be top of the list as they are at greater risk. However most emergency workers like teachers tend be younger and would be far more likely to survive it than an older person. They also tend to be quite fit. Only about 2% of deaths are in people under 50 and the majority of those are in the 40-50 group.

School teachers are far less likely to get it and spread it than emergency workers, but old frail ppl are the most at risk of death. It's a balancing act

When you look at death rates it becomes totally clear who needs to be protected.

I have a number of friends who have been coppers. All have retired in their early 50s.

I also have a number of friends who are teachers who retired around 60.

Most of both are younger and anyone over 50 will end up being vaccinated as will anyone with a medical condition that puts them at greater risk so we are talking about under 50s in both professions and most under 50s are able to fight it.

The rate of death at different ages clearly shows where the greater risk lies.
90 and over 16.5%
80-89 38.8%
70-79 27.0%
60-69 11.4%
50-59 3.6% This is an approx figure as actual rate for females under 60 not shown

The rates for females 50-59 is not shown but from graph is somewhere near 1%. The rates for 40-49 and below is not shown but clearly from the graph most of the remainder of deaths come in the 40-49 group.

Clearly this shows that most deaths will be saved using the system they currently are. There are very few deaths below 50 where somebody doesnt have a pre existing condition from any employee group

That's true, but hospitals are seeing a lot of patients in their 40s becoming very ill, maybe not dying, but very sick
