Wales has also been ruled by the same party for twenty uninterrupted years. You think they'd have done something about it by now don't you?

Poverty has gone on in the valleys for long before the Welsh Government. It hasnt been solved by the UK governments of different parties and you can go back pre war but of course you blame Labour and the Welsh Government. Never mind ignore everything that doesnt suit.

I rememeber when the tories took over from NuLabour, they'd been in office 3 years and were called all sorts for not fixing problems that had been there during Blairs government. paarently the tories should fix things after 3/4 years but 20 years isn't long enough for Labour in Wales. Maybe it'd be better to ask has poverty increased or decreased in the last 20 years? The answer is that child poverty has fallen but pensioner poverty has risen so the numbers over all are pretty similar at 1 in four people in poverty. https://www.jrf.org.uk/sites/d That's still not a great picture if people have a life of working and then can still look forward to a 25% chance of being in poverty. People crack on about poverty but there are plenty of people in London living in poverty and London is a rich city. There are more homeless people in London than in the whole of Wales. There are over 10 times as many rough sleepers in London as in Wales. which proportionately is a lot, lot higher.
