Impressive resume in American football alone. Done nothing of note elsewhere.

Yep they are both poor managers the Welsh success in the last two Euros is certainly not down to either of them, the first time was all down to Bale, the second was comfortable group opposition wise and a much easier qualifying process than in the past, as i say both these guys are poor managers and how you can not see that beggars belief.

I don't think I've said that they aren't necessarily good managers. You're putting words in my mouth now. What i have said is that both have done a great job as Wales manager. I've based that on their performance of the team, that's in the record books, what the team achieved is fact. I'm not assuming the team wouldn't have done well based on a fictional scenario that didn't happen and then passing judgement on their actual time as Wales manager! Just read that back and tell me how ridiculous you doing that sounds. [Post edited 5 Mar 2021 20:50]

| Giggs on 20:34 - Mar 5 by ReslovenSwan1 | I have watched Wales for years and they seriously under performed . Some great squads over the years all failed to get over the line. Giggs /Bellamy / Hartson. Rush / Hughes / Saunders. All Welsh managers need to understand in international football must be built on a solid defence. Coleman got Wales solid at the back and Bale and Ramsey did the rest. Coleman did this playing a back 5 with wingbacks. An experienced keeper with Collins Chester and Ashley Williams as captain. Gunter and Davies wingbacks. Bradley took the USA to the playoff games in the world cup. No Welsh team has matched this in my lifetime. Last time 1958. Continuously in work. He must be doing something right. |
You can't possibly compare the USAs qualification or near qualification to Wales's. The depth in a CONCACAF is obviously far inferior to that of UEFA. Although as i have said Bradley did a decent job with them, you can only beat who's in front of you. I'm not going to do a shingle and pretend he didn't.

Wales blew WC qualification at least three times . Yorath? v Romaina 1994 again with Hughes V Russia 2002 and Coleman v Serbia 2018. Not world beaters. The fact is Bradley got to a WC knockou stages. Ranieri was seen as a clown in some quarters.

Being a bit disingenuous there. That Romania team was very good, look how they went onto perform at USA 94. The Russia game was a play off but in the group stage we had Italy and Yugoslavia. 2018 loss was to RoI& that was a fairly mediocre group granted. But as i say, Bradley was a good manager of USA.

Sorry neither are capable of doing a great job, all down to Bale the players and the easier qualifying process, with a decent manager at the helm and the same circumstances they would have qualified more comfortably on both occasions.

Haha the facts suggest they are capable of it. Coleman was manager when Wales got to the semi finals of a Euros and Wales qualified for a Euros and topped a Nations league group when Giggs was manager. By any measure those constitute doing a great job. Again, there's no need to pretend anyone else was manager, let's concentrate on what actually happened. In reality, in real life. Why is it so difficult for you to do that!? Its perverse!

No the facts clearly show if it was not for Bale things would have been a lot different, your being really silly now, can you not remember the times he won games single handidly during the qualifying process, but being the dimwit you are you probably think it was great management just by picking him to play

Back to the hypothetical scenarios again i see. Do you enjoy living in a dream world? Bale great player, didn't feature much in the nations league campaign for example however and Wales still won the group. But you ignore that fact for some reason. Content to daydream. Its very odd to make up scenarios to discredit people who've obviously done very well as manager. But if it makes you feel good who am i to stop you. Keep dreaming

Bale scored a cracker that won the game against Slovakia scored a beauty v Russia run the show v Belguim saved our skins v Croatia etc i will credit the other class player in Ramsey as well mind you now let`s be honest with out these two we certainly would not have qualified in 2016 and probably not last time out despite them missing a few games, now getting back to these two managers you so highly credit, most think there poor managers that is a fact looking at media and social network comments alone, yet you credit them for Wales Qualifying, guess that sum you up in a nut shell simply unable to read the bigger picture there not good managers mate accept it and move on.

Can you show me where i have credit Coleman and Giggs alone for all of Wales's success? No because I've never said that. And i dont really care what people on twitter write about their managerial careers besides Wales - that's not what we're talking about. But both were great managers of Wales. That is the factual clearest, biggest, the only picture there is. Leave the conspiracies alone and just embrace the facts pal.

Not sure how my words constitute a 'meltdown'. You must live a very sheltered life if that's what you think this is! Of course they are. Read what i said again - i didn't say they were great managers, they haven't had great careers, they won't go onto manage Barca..... But their achievements managing Wales speak for themselves, both performed very well as Wales manager so far.

So is every manager that happens to have good players at their disposal lucky? And again, you're putting words in my mouth, i haven't actually commented on their 'management skills'. Well forgive me, this is a forum and let's face it, we're in lockdown. Isn't its purpose to discuss matters? Especially where I'm in a conversation with someone, why wouldn't i reply if i have time. As you do to me, so not sure what your point is there? If you read back, my replies are always respectful and on topic. Yea as i say, if it makes you feel better to delusionally believe that the manager at the time of Wales getting to a Euros semi final didn't do a good job, crack on

Good to see you are changing your tune, no doubt they are poor managers who just got lucky in having two world class players to do the bizz and an easier qualifying process, also you were the one who brought up having a sheltered life and now your admitting to replying to comments within seconds of them being posted, now lockdown or not, that is certainly a little strange, i am now more convinced than ever you are going through some sort of turmoil here, why who knows you have only made a mistake of thinking these two muppets are great Welsh managers we all make mistakes and as you say its only a forum.

How has my tune changed!? Not sure where I've admitted to single second replies either. Just explained facts that if I'm conversing with someone, I'll reply as soon as i can. Haha yea what a mare I'm having to suggest that the manager of Wales when we reached the Euro Semi finals did a great job. Genuinely now, this back and forth has gone on a while, is this a wind up?

No wind up there two poor managers who managed a team where a couple of World class players and an easier than qualifying process was the main reason they qualified simple really isn't it.

Coleman was agreat manager for Wales as he did the simple task of getting big stars to actually turn up. That was first first acheivement. Wales have alway had big stars but did not get Colemans results. Coleman built a strong defence which has aleway s been a weakness. Even if Colemn left Bale and ramseay to do their own thing it worked and he deserved credit for not changing things and ordering good players to play out of position.

| Giggs on 13:10 - Mar 10 with 645 views | Badlands | Bradley's biggest achievement was with Egypt IMO. But I would argue that Egypt and USA were task followers especially in training whereas 'sophisticated' premier league players were just confused at being shown how to kick a ball. (Check out the videos) I'd be looking to Osian Roberts or Steve Cooper - he's won the World Cup don't you know. [Post edited 10 Mar 2021 13:10]
