“Swansea haven’t changed shape all season”

Done a number on Cooper and didn’t even need to do any homework.

Teams haven’t worked us out over the last 6 weeks, we’ve played exactly the same way since the end of last season.

We just look devoid of energy and confidence right now. I thought the international break would give us a bit of a boost, but we were turgid last night. No real threat against, let’s be honest, a bog standard league one team. Even Grimes and Guehi were giving the ball away needlessly.

He isn’t going to change formation, but Lowe needs to be taken out of the firing line. Give Whittaker an hour and bring him on to run at tiring defenders.

One of my biggest frustrations with him together with a complete inability to see what is directly in front of him & is now smacking him in the face every match - poor form of a number of his ‘regulars’ & zero ability to change a match strategy once the ref blows the whistle to start (it’s almost as if he thinks that’s against the rules).

To give him some balance sitting 3rd with 8 games left with his coaching ability & this unbalanced squad is definitely an over achievement but unless he falls over a new formation for the those 8 games (bit like last season after lockdown 1.0) then we are finishing 7th.

That's different from what i said.

It would be more accurate to say we deserved nothing. Rather than Birmingham being particularly deserving.

And in what way does your ridiculous statement have any relevance? We played a dogsh*t team of cloggers and we’re lucky to finish second to them you melt !
We still just threw automatic promotion down the stairs and we’re not going to win the play offs!

They were better than us 1st half, we shaded the 2nd. But overall it was a dreadful game between two sides that frankly wouldn't look out of place in the National league. I watch a fair bit of Tranmere Rovers because one of my mates supports them and to be completely honest I often think they look a better footballing side than us. Christ, even when I watch Haverfordwest I think they play better football than us.

Every coach with more than a couple of brain cells is on to us. We have nobody who looks to beat a man, can't string more than a handful of passes together and couldn't finish a ham Sandwich. We have no outlet, nobody who you can trust to create something from nothing. We are very one dimensional.

Literally all you have to do to beat us is press us and we sh*t ourselves and either smash the ball out of play or straight back to you. Sometimes we even skip the middle man and smash the ball straight off you and into our net.

It isn't exactly a tactical masterclass from Mr Bowyer is it? We can all see it.

To finish a ham sandwich you’ve got to make one first. Coopers problem is mouldy ham and an inability to locate the bread bin.

Did they press us much tonight?

Woodman seemed to have an easy pass on to the defenders most of the game and Bennett / Guehi brought the ball out of defence several times with ease but then had zero options no one wanting the ball.

The press primarily on our 3 midfield players . Shat themselves every time they had the ball before losing it

Have you not read the thread then?

It has relevance to the topic. Read it all properly and it may make sense to you.

I'm not buying that the squad is unbalanced. Just overworked and poorly coached. We've got the players to play a better style of football than this. We've got the players to be more of an offensive threat than this. They've just had all of that choked out of them by a clipboard coach more at home with a powerpoint presentation than an actual football situation.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

To predictable, he prefers Wing backs to proper forwards.
Change to 4-3-3 and get some forwards on the pitch

No wouldn't say so. May have shaded it.

You haven’t got a clue what you’re even saying , regardless of the contents of the thread .
And yes , Bowyer did out think Cooper. He thought he’d match us up to neutralise us and it worked. Steve just stood on the sidelines and did nothing to counter him.

Yes they have

But some managers will look to exploit it more than others.

Some will prefer to concentrate on their game plan and hope to be better than us.

But any manager with even the slightest bit of nous knows that all they need to do is press high and hard on our wing backs, no sod that, they're not wing backs, they're full backs and put a man on Matty.

Then what do we do?

Think about it.....

How do we build any sort of momentum or construct moves up the pitch when teams kill our only options

Take Matty, Bids and Roberts out of the game and they would be infinitely more likely to do a job on us.

There's nothing more to us than that so of course they've worked us out.

That wasn’t the point I was making, quite the opposite in fact.

Everyone knew exactly how we were going to play before the end of last season. What I meant was we haven’t only been worked out in the last 6 weeks. We rode our luck for quite a while being hard to break down and relying on nicking a goal.

I quite agree that Coopers tactical inflexibility is exposed when we go behind, as he has no other way playing, save for chuck Dhanda on for Smith or Fulton, not change tactics and hope for the best.

We just played poorly. Brum did pretty much nothing either. That's my point. They got a fortunate penalty late on. That was it. We had several half chances and got in some decent positions but we didn't make anything of them because the players are playing badly. Which frankly is more worrying than it being simply down an opposition manager countering us.

Yet another knee-jerk thread by the unthinking. Unable to think clearly under pressure, yet again. We should of signed Bony.

Bowyer's hoofball and throwball, ffs. "Done" a number, oh dear. One team of desperados set out to nullify, hoof and throw it as far as possible, ad infinitum. We chose to play the odds, stick to a wining formula in the rightful expectation of winning. As per. It's what we've done all season. With aplomb. Sticking to .ppt script. Some of our key players didn't. It happens.

Frank failed to contain us, then chose to match us. Ever since it's been par for the course. This calendar year Watford tried to match us and failed (2-1 to the swans), as did Norwich (2-0 to the swans). Our talent on and off the pitch has prevailed against the top teams. It's why we're joint 3rd, and Bowyer isn't.

Lol, fair shout matey.

I too shall be having a word with some of our best players to see why we didnt turn up and put in the same shift they did previously:
- Grimes bizarrely wasn't at the races til' the second half, after Coops had a word. He's our heartbeat, and little was ticking til the second half. He came to life, as did we.
- Bidders and Roberts were docile, Roberts every excuse but Bidders seems off
- Conor was missed in the AM space - Smith was translucent at best

At least we don't have Bowyer snarlingly subjecting to us with hoof-throwball
