Bit dodgy eh

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Believe me, you’d never find either of them in the trenches...

I'd have a better chance of those two getting in than any of the lefty rabble who seem to be loitering on this forum I'm sure. Cowardly leeches who believe they're entitled to everything without earning it, gun them all down I say

Fact 1 - Pre-WWII the British Labour Party opposed war with Nazi Germany
Fact 2 - Virtually all of the 'Pacifists' who dodged their service in WWII were left-wingers.

...yet it is the Left who have claimed the moral high ground in our culture.

Sometimes doing the right thing involves rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty, doing things you would not ordinarily choose to do but nevertheless are necessary to stand up for what's right.
If we don't have enough good men willing to stand up for what's right, civilization crumbles.

There is no one on this forum who would not have been in the trenches before Boris Johnson or Jacob Rees Mogg.

Your misguided faith is touching,

My grandfather was a very ardent labour voter, I may previously have mentioned he was a Royal Marine Commando in the war.

Those pacifists, I assume he meant that in a derogatory way (basically calling them cowards) but there were quite a few "pacifists" who did remarkable things. Maybe people know the name Desmond Doss or maybe the film of his incredibly brave actions..."Hacksaw Ridge"

Being anti war does not mean coward.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I wasn't talking about pacifists like Desmond Doss (who was a medic on battlefields risking his life)...I was talking about the many left wing 'pacifists' who sat out the war at home.

If everybody took the so called morally superior 'Pacifist' position of course, the Nazis would have won.

I'm sick of Lefties attacking Remembrance Day and the poppy whilst holding up 'pacifists' as heroes.
Yes many 'pacifists' were cowards.

Question, who has been attacking rememberance day? Which lefty are you talking about?

It's certainly not anything recent.

PS, being a pacifist back then certainly wasn't an easy way out of it. They were often locked up, vilified publicly, shunned by family and friends, their lives ruined. It took guts to refuse to fight knwoing that would happen. Yes some of them probably were cowards but not "many"

I really could go on and on and on...but I can't be bothered, if you haven't noticed that left wingers do not, on the whole, support Remembrance day you must have been living in a cave.

In his links about 'lefty cowards' he obviously doesn't see their point of view, which shows how tunnelled visioned he is.

That's utter nonsense. I suppose it was only right wingers who fought in the war? Most of the fighting and dying was done by the working classes, the very people usually regarded as left wing.

There are some left winges, the more extreme ones like Corbyn who are a national shame but when it comes to it, the people on the front line are a mix of all political views.

I won't argue that most pacifists aren't left wing but not all left wingers are pacifists.

PS, you could go on but those articles are spread over 7 years, the most recent one is nearly 3 years old. It;'s hardly a multitude of sins.

You are very naive.
Conservatives aren't criticising and attacking Remembrance Day, the modern Left is.

The 'working class' people who fought in that war (...and let's not forget that people of all different social backgrounds fought in that war) would not be considered Left wing today.
The Left of today would call these people bigots, racists, xenophobes, little Englanders etc.
A lot of the modern Left are even irked when they are asked to stand for a minute's silence and remember these people who actually stood up to Fascism.

The Left of today is not the Left of then, Christ it's not even the Left of 20 years ago.

When a country goes to War, people of all different views and backgrounds come together to do their duty.
That does not change the fact that the Labour Party opposed the war. Look it up.

Churchill, reviled by the Left today, was one of the few who saw what was coming early...that took the time to find out what was happening in Germany and followed the rationale of the Nazi movement through to it's logical conclusion.
He stood up and was mocked.
Then when the appeasers stumbled into a war they could not avoid anyway, they gave him a call...nobody else wanted the job, weak b'stards.
He was just a man, had his faults the same as the rest of us, but nevertheless he galvanised the men of these islands to do the right thing...when Labour wanted to look the other way.

Now the Left 'anti-fascists' tear his statue down, the man who stood up to Fascism and persuaded all of our antecedents to stand up to Fascism.

Don't look the other way.
