And let us not the Press described Hoolie as an outstanding loan success.Woody too outstanding.
Media knowledge of us has been zero. Insulting ignorance our club.

For me,Hoirihane stands alone-for all the wrong reasons. We should never forget him .

The press report a lot of nonsense on the swans, some of the utter rubbish being spouted yesterday to fill in time was hilarious.

If that's true then the owners have to carry the can. Elsehwere it's been siad Cooper had 2 strikers lined up. If both these things are facts then our owners have shot themselves in the foot, they may well have cost us promotion by thinking they knew better than Cooper and/or by looking after their stateside interests.

I've aid quite a few times the football on display has been terrible to watch but if the owners have behaved as you say then it's all at their door. If we'd had 2 strikers and not the USA loanees the team selection might have been much different and the style of football much better, who knows?

One of the Strikers was Michael Oluwadurotimi Obafemi from Southampton. He got crocked on the last day which was just bad luck. There is no indication that any striker was rejected. Whittaker also arrived. It was Cooper that did not play Goykeres. He improved at Coventry.

I do not believe the two experienced US players should be used to clobber the owners. They were both experienced and clearly could have been useful for the club but were coming back from injury. They were low cost in a difficult window. The club has a budget. Charlie Austin would have been nice but not cheap.

Arriola is in my opinion a much better option than Smith. Smith has scored 6 goals in 14 seasons. Arriola ggets 6 or 7 every season. On his big moment in a crucial match Smith fell over in panic with a one on one. Arriola scored last night v Beckham's team. He would have been available for Barnsely and Brentford if Cooper wanted him.

Your Arriola obsession is bizarre. Now trying to say he should have played ahead of a defensive midfielder?? Arriola wasn't available for selection in the game you refer to that Smith came off the bench in a tie we won but he missed a sitter. A strange comparison.

Where is the evidence that Arriola would still be here if Cooper wanted him then? Don't you remember when he signed there was talk that he could be recalled for the start of the MLS season?

Sam Greenwood from Leeds was a striker we apparently tried to sign in loan in the window.

The owners clearly had the January transfers under their remit.

I can’t imagine Coops knocking on the door saying “we need a third choice right back, some Americans loans in their off season and a reserve keeper, and we need them now!”.

But no doubt some will pretend so.

More nonsensical speculation.

You think it’s speculation to make the point that Its obviously unlikely that Cooper wasn’t banging down the owners door asking for MLS loan signings in their off season, one from a club the owners also own?

Come on now, there is disliking our manager... then there is just being plain ridiculous.

Cooper is a coach not a scout. The club has scouting and recriuting professionals. Cooper would come up with a 19 year old not two 26 yer olds he had never heard of.

Just because Cooper is not an expert on US football, there is no reason why the club cannot sign the next Dikes for example. Perhaps Cooper would not have played him? In the last USA game before the window Dikes came on as sub for Arriola. The US manager for one believed arriola was the better pick to start the game.

The two players with some luck and faith would have been good for Swansea city. Swasnea managers shouls alway aim for the best but also have to take what is gibven and make the best of it.

That isn’t the discussion at hand though. The discussion you are quoting and replying to is someone saying it’s “nonsense speculation” that Cooper did not have a hand in the American loans, the third choice right back and the reserve goalkeeper.

I am not saying the club cannot or should not sign players over his head, many clubs do these days. I am making the point that a better synergy between what Cooper wants and what the owners want to bring in is far more beneficial than making commercial signings and expecting Cooper to do something with them.

Cooper, to his credit, took a look at the Americans and played Morris in almost every game he was here despite the phenomenal form of the side in that spell. Arriola was not rated as has been discussed many times, there are clear reasons why he wasn’t, which is probably why he will remain towards the bottom of that league for years to come.
