| The so called President of the USA. 18:42 - Jun 8 with 4508 views | A_Fans_Dad | Joe Biden dishonours the US and Allied Troops that took part in the D Day landings on June 6th 1944. As far as I can tell he is the only US President not to honour their sacrifice on the 6th of June. Not one mention. But he did mention the Tulsa Riot. Even his wife and Vice President mentioned the D Day landings. | | | | |

This is all so new for him, hard to keep up with everything. Note cards have proven completely useless - offered the White House Official; "You don't want to even know what Tory leadership is saying"

I had three grandparents who were Irish From the south, the other was Welsh. My mother welsh my father Irish. I’m sorry mate but the Americans do annoy me with this Irish thing, and numerous and many of my family too. They need to concentrate on their own rubbish before stating they are Irish when the last one out was 170 years ago. It’s insulting to me personally. Just saying.

How you feel is how you feel Keith. But equally Sleepy Joe is entitled to feel how he feels. There is no right or wrong. I do offer this quote as a thought for you though .. ‘It speaks to the depth and magnetism of a culture when someone would honour their own connection to it, regardless of whether they have been to the place where it originated, or not. So if you feel it, if it speaks to who you are, then it is just so. Ireland is an island; Irishness is not." ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ¤ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ª

Biden does make me laugh with his election time ‘Oirish’ posturing. He’s what? 1/16th Irish by descent? That gives him the exact same drop of Irish ancestry as my wife and if you asked her what a Shebeen is she’d probably think you were talking about the lead singer in a black girl group.

| The so called President of the USA. on 13:44 - Jun 12 with 841 views | DwightYorkeSuperstar | Boris Johnson was literally born in the USA, yet you do not see him making idiotic comments about US Domestic Policy which he has to embarrassingly walk back after a few hours once his minder's read them on CNN. Yet Sleepy Joe, who's claim to being Irish is that some of his ancestors left Ireland in the 1850's thinks that makes him Irish and presents him the right to provide misleading (dare I say, fake news?) comments regarding UK domestic policy. Quite frankly I'm astounded they nominated him. The speculation regarding his mental health sounds truer each passing day. Even four years ago they put forward Clinton who couldn't get into a car without help. It's incredible. | |

I was told this a few years ago by a family friend who lived in Boston in the nineties. He said the American view of Ireland is mostly an anti British one, but what these political guys in the USA don’t realise is they actually offend 25% of the “alleged” Irish American community who are British. He was from the republic and could never understand why the Americans never got the whole picture.

Americans as regards other countries are amongst the dumbest in the world. A good part of the USA is so ignorant about the world outside the states its painful. If you ever meet anyone from Alabama, you'll get my drift.

I believe that means its back to grandparents only then. But then you have the Mo Farah type situations to deal with. And thats just sporting eligibility, the cultural side is sure to be a difficult thing to address through any type of hard rules or measures. 🤷â€â™‚ï¸

Mo Farah father was born in Britain so even under the Biden heritage rules that gives Mo dual nationality. His family fled Somalia when Mo was 8 and settled in the UK. Mo took advantage of all benefits of being a UK citizen could offer in terms of education and lifestyle. Mo is half British by his parents and has since become a full British citizen. Meanwhile sleepy Joe is dubious 1/16 Irish and also had French and British ancestors. I guess there is not a large French American vote in the USA so he ignores this heritage. He can't speak either French or gaelic but can speak English.
