But we should never read anything in to these things. I mean a man on alleged compassionate leave would love to know his employers are thinking of him surely ? Especially on his birthday.

I don't know. Neither does anyone else. How many people thought we'd get promoted in the summer of 2010?
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

. It's clear and obvious to anyone with half a brain cell Vetch that our prospects of promotion have today plummeted. Without a shadow of doubt. Asking that question to someone who is yet again tied up mid-mission to try and discredit one of our best posters is futile, so will of course the troll will be responding with a skewed bias. Lost in them trees. .

I'm extremely apprehensive now. It's obvious our starting line up needs quality in a few positions. Quality that we won't pay for, but quality Cooper could have got us through his loans. Where are the goals going to come from?

The only goals lost are those scored by Andre Ayew with a little initial burst from Hourahaine. Ayew got 16 or so and 4 or 5 of them were penalties. So that brings us down to 11. One concern was that Jamal Lowe had zero assists. The Cooper midfield of Smith Fulton and Grimes comes up with about 4 or 5. Too low. Piroe can be expected to get 5 or 6 in a poor season and if he fails the highly touted Joseph could get similar. Lowe one would hope would take more of his near misses or else provide an assist as his judgement improves. Whittaker might play in a front three. The new manager might be tempted t go for pacey athletic Jamaican front two of hard running Lowe and Garrick and run the channels hard with Piroe or Cullen stationed down the middle Swansea were still in the market for a big lump no 9. As the window closes bargains might appear for players clubs are desperate to get off the books and prepared to cover some of the wages. Perhaps someone like Robson Kanu might reduce his wage demands on a 6 month deal for some free Turmeric advertising space at the Liberty.

Right so we're 20 goals short. And we weren't prolific scorers as it was, being subsidised by a shrewd defence. From which we no longer have Woodman, Guehi and Roberts missing for a few months.

And shorn of the top level coaching team that masterminded that award winning controlled defensive platform.

As it stands, Lowe, Piroe and Whittaker ( a very underestimated young man ) backed up by Joseph and Cullen. I get the feeling some clubs will take a battering off us, and maybe more will return the favour.

Benda is pretty good some say better than Woodman. Lets face facts Woodman was not getting a lot of love on here. Guehi is a big loss no doubt about it. However Brandon Cooper was loved by Mike Flynn who helped Ben White to the top and a £50m move to the Arsenal. A good prospect who will only get better. Ayew was a maverick by all accounts and has been replaced by Piroe and Jospeh who are both young and keen. Ayew is 32 next birthday and needed replacing in any case. Robson Kanu would score similar numbers of goals if signed for example and played 46 games. Garrick in my opinion is a potential diamond who can replace Roberts, is faster than Roberts but lacks his stamina and willingness to get hurt perhaps. This is not a criticism but Roberts takes some matching. He is an ex rugby player and has beefed up. Lowe should improve. He was sublime at times and sloppy other times He will only get better and might fancy penalties. I would give them to Piroe to get him going like Borja at the start of last season. Has Margetson gone? He has links to the area and a son at the club. With Cooper not fixed up why would he leave. He appeared to have a major role in the tight defence. Grimes played better under potter in a more fluid system. He will probably sold. Walsh looks a very tidy footballer.

| Marsh not evident at Plymouth on 17:40 - Jul 22 with 223 views | KeithHaynes | It has been brought to our attention that Mike Marsh is away from the club and has been for some while for extremely sensitive and personal reasons. We will close this thread now, and as and when ( if at all ) Mike wants to let further information in to the public arena we will of course oblige him and his family access to do so. We thank you for allowing this to be the final word on the matter. | |
