Anyone else go today?
£20 for myself, wife and kids to go, worth a walk around for an hour or so but personally thought it was a bit pricey for what it was this year.

Yeah, annual classic car show.

A lot quieter this year but thought the entrance fee was a bit steep for what it was.

They are the ww2 American army jeeps . I have a soft spot for them as I once restored a land rover series 1 (1957 swb) and used to drive it with the door tops and canvas tilt off. It was the next best thing to driving the WW2 jeep.

Watched a programme on tv the other day about a family business who collect and auction classic cars . There was an Aston Martin db6 barn find. Complete but needing a TOTAL gutting and restoration . It went for 100 grand

The Triumph was gifted to me , during the "hurricane "on the south coast of 87 , we were sent to cut down trees which were blocking power lines , and blocking roads etc, and it was full on , not a chainsaw nor tree feller was available to help the locals , during a lunch break a old gent came out with the obligatory tea and biscuits and asked if we could remove a few trees which was ready to topple onto his property , he originally came from Sketty and recognised our accents so we obliged and because I'd shown interest in the car which was parked on the drive for sale he said take it as a thank you. I again obliged and had it for a few years before selling it on.
The SDI was lovely car but as a daily driver in those days was a bit over ally expensive fuel wise. but really comfortable
My 1st car was a Mk! Cortina and paid £40 for it from a colleague who was transferring ,taxed & MOT and brought me and the wife home for weekends from camp back to Swansea .Happy memories

I know 2 people who have classics 1 has a Jowett inherited from his father, it has some history ,used to be raced, he is in the process of rebuilding it, though t was a runner when obtained.

Popped up to the Mercedes Museum last week, as we up that area, cracking place to visit, for petrol heads, free to go in as well.
It’s up at Brooklands Weybridge, you can do a driving experience with includes a go around the drifting track, looks awesome.
