Help With A Film Scene 21:10 - Oct 3 with 7427 viewsunion_jack

I have over the years seen a film where a German pilot is shot and his goggles filled with blood. Very dramatic and a tad gorey.

I've always believed that film to be 'Battle of Britain'. However, having seen that film a few times over the years and today most recently, that scene is not in the film.

I am certain I've not dreamt this up. I've searched the Internet but there is no mention anywhere of this scene in Battle of Britain or any other film.

Anyone got an explanation for this?

What a movie 'The Battle Of Brtiain' truly is! And what a fantastic tribute it is to the greatest generation ever! The end scenes along with its end credits and tribute to the fallen is utterly supberb and moving!

So I assume for football related articles you use Andy Cole and non-football you use Wingstandwood. Glad you've simplified.

I only found out last week, that there is a Stuka at Hendon, one of only a few remaining.

Indeed there is, the only one in the UK I believe, wiki states only 2 currently intact in the world, so a very rare aircraft. I went to Hendon just before Covid and was slightly disappointed, they've modernised it and made things a lot more interactive, I'm old fashioned with museums and like them just showing exhibits.

Worth visiting for the Cold War collection and the British post war experimental band prototypes including TSR2. A few WW2 planes including an Me262 and Komet. Good recommendation.

There's also a huge collection of missiles from WW2 onwards, the V1 looks like a toy next to the V2, which was a truly fearsome weapon, which in turn looks fairly insignificant next to POLARIS. The range of WW2 German rockets on display really shows how far behind the allies actually were.

Prof, there is a documentary you may have already seen, think its called Jet age, When Britain ruled the skies. There is a lot about the TSR2 in it, it was scandalous what happened to a lot of these prototype aircraft.

Really? This was the Channel 5 showing on Saturday.

I saw it over 2 days so could have missed it but I didn't think I had.

I may have dropped off 🤔

Yup thats the one. I half watched it live and then recorded the rest as I flicked through the channels. The scene is the one where she just saw a line of her colleagues draped under blankets on the airfield.

It was definitely still included.
