| Johnson.. again on 08:57 - Nov 10 by felixstowe_jack | Pity the Welsh only vote labour. They will never get a dynamic economy with well paid jobs with labour in charge. Still they can rely on huge subsidies from the UK taxpayers. |
Another attempt to take a thread off track. If you want to comment about the Labour Party why not start a new thread about them instead of trying to deflect attention from the issues currently being discussed. As I've said before, if we follow a sycophantic approach and don't scrutinise government we'll end up like Zimbawe under Mugabe and other subsaharan countries ruled by despots. According to one reputable newspaper it’s a smear leaked to 3 Conservative newspapers by the Defence Minster to turn the focus away from Boris and the Conservatives. If it isn’t a smear, the 3 MP’s should be disciplined by their parties and required to apologise. If it’s a smear and untrue then Ben Wallace should resign. https://www.independent.co.uk/ Even if there is substance to the allegation, having a few too many tipples is nowhere near as bad as rampant corruption and misconduct in public office.

If they are allowed to claim for it, I expect they will. A tad odious maybe but hardly the crime of the century when compared to Cox and paterson.

He should get after Johnson each and every day. Stand against Brexit. ‘Make Brexit work’ is not possible. Its a shite idea at its very core. Stand for rejoining the EU, through full alignment first and then rejoin. Stand against Tory corruption. Stand for working positively with the devolved nations. I think he is being way too timid.

So the leaders of the 2 main national parties in the UK are both rubbish. IMO you can add Drakeford in there for Wales as well.

The Brexit ship has sailed and you need to leave it go. The people voted to leave and that what’s happened, whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing remains to be seen, but Starmer standing to reverse Brexit will be a huge voter turn off. People had a guts full of the indecision, arguments and stalemate when May was in charge hence Boris coming to power. It’s unlikely people will change their mind this early as they won’t want to return to what we endured over the last 4 years, but if it goes Pete Tong, there’s shortages in the shops etc etc they may change their mind. If Starmer wants to make inroads in to the Conservative lead, the Labour Party need to have a relentless focus on the corruption and dodgy dealing and hammer it home instead of internal squabbling.

There is an elephant in the room and it’s one that’s capable of crushing politicians. If I were Starmer I’d keep my mouth shut and watch to see how things pan out. Id get a team of people digging dirt on Boris and charge them with relentlessly pursuing the sleaze in the Tory Party and then systematically dissecting Boris in the HOC and media.

"Your man Johnson really is a joke. A clown." Not my man, I detest all politicians equally. I have met too many face to face to think otherwise. Show me a politician, never mind the scale and I will show you someone only out to benefit themselves. [Post edited 12 Nov 2021 6:29]

| Johnson.. again on 08:25 - Nov 12 with 801 views | Kilkennyjack | Our tax buys Geoffrey Cox a £535k Battersea flat...he claimed the mortgage on expenses...he now owns the flat and he rents it out. Mr Cox now lives in a second flat and we pay his rent claimed on expenses. IIRC the rules changed post expenses scandal so that rental accommodation is expensable, mortgages aren't (since you're pretty much guaranteed a profit on London property anyway). Cox has changed his living arrangements to maximise his profit at taxpayer's expense. | |

You really are clutching at straws if you think labour would win any election other than in Wales. Come back with your latest polls in three years time a bit nearer the next General Election.

All that is true and the worst thing is, it's allowed under the rules. What happened was, the MP's got caught fiddling and so they promised changes. We had changes and we were told they were for the better but what really happened was they made the new rules fit their circumstances so they could continue to milk the system legally. What Cox does is allowed in the rules even if the rest of us would call it morally corrupt and about profit more than service. IPSA says it's not looking to change the rules. IPSA need to think again. The expenses scandal wasn't the end of corruption, it was when Parliament pulled a "Bojo" and changed the rules to suit themselves. Now we need to make so much noise that they have to put a properly independent scrutineer in.

His decision to back Priti Patel in the face of a highly critical report in respect of alleged bullying is going to Judicial Review next week. The Rutman case cost an estimated £340,000 in compensation and a further £30,000 to pay Rutnam’s legal bill. It’s clear why Boris wants to narrow the scope of Judicial Review’s as it’s one of the only ways to throw light on the inappropriate workings of government.

It was never funny in the first place. Only an idiot couldn’t see that Bodger would be the worst thing to happen to this country for generations. The fact that soulless imbeciles like Felix and dgt feel empowered by him and his band of criminals says it all.
