So he wants to push out Bidwell who has been decent and is on our books and replace him with a player on loan who we won't have on the books. Makes sense to Martin I suppose.
I hope they all give him both barrels.

Not sure what his plans for that position are.
Bidwell is a definite maybe though.
Can’t see him going without a decent offer being accepted. It would be foolish.

You do not seem to understand, Max.
Bidwell has proven himself unable to attack down the left wing for 90 minutes and consistently provide world class crosses in to the opposition box which evade the half dozen opposition players and perfectly finds the head of the one Swansea player allowed to enter the opposition's box; whilst simultaneously defending our left flank against all of our opponent's attacks, despite being forced to give opposition wingers (who are much faster than him) a 20 hard headstart due to the positional demands imposed on him by Russell Martin.
Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo do this every week after all.

So far he has tried Rhys Williams, a brief switch with Bidwell, even Cabango, clearly the players we have can’t do it. But RM has stated he is looking at a formation change of Obafemi and Piroe are on the pitch at the same time that is.

Bit of a difference on class with those players Dwight but Bidwell is surely a better option than the flaky Manning, although both are amongst the most mediocre player we've had.
I see Neil Taylor still playing at Middlesborough and I never thought I would see him as miles better than anyone we've had at left back, but he was .
Our squad has leaked away all the quality over a short stretch of time and that aint down to Martin but our ferkwit owners and Jenkins previously..
It hurts like hell ,still,to think how far we have fallen so quickly.

That's what he means, Martin wants a Walker and a Cancello and Bidwell understandably isn't, which goes back to my point about Martin having idealistic ideas which he dreams about and are way be beyond realistic.
We need a team that can be for the most part at least be able to defend and players who can control the midfield to help the defence and of course provide a route for the attack to score, it can be done on a budget, its been done here in the past.

Martin is a dreamer .
It's good to have a dream but a plan is better.
Binning your better players because they stand up to him isnt the best plan and neither is bringing in loan kids who have no real commitment to the club and are just passing through.

Cooper did the same.
I'm surprised Winter is gong for it though.
I like Martin's play but his player management is dreadful.

Interesting piece Keith & appears that our owners are fully supportive of the RM vision & strategy but with bringing him in so late in the summer (plus the Covid financial impact) it appears we are faced with an unusually busy January window - not sure how possible this would be but I guess a ‘good’ window for RM would be :-
Out : Fulton, Benda, Whittaker, Bidwell, Walsh, Dhanda, Latibeaudiere, Cullen plus possibly both Williams & Coopers on either loan or permanent deals - potentially 12 out!!
In : Both the MKDs players to cover the GK & CB gaps but we would then need a LWB/LB, Striker, attacking central midfielder, RWB/RB cover & box to box midfielder again on loan or permanents - potentially 7 in.
That would be challenging in the 3-month summer window so a very tall ask - let’s hope Silverstein has a flexible return ticket!

Being a decent manager at a bare minimum means being a good man manager of the clubs players.
The best/better managers have this.
