| BBC funding 13:57 - Jan 16 with 4161 views | JACKMANANDBOY | I must admit I do not watch much BBC, standards have dropped and news and current affairs is full of opinion rather than journalism. I find the World Service on Radio to be pretty good, otherwise Netflix, Amazon, C4 Player and Sky give me more than enough choice for the hour or so I watch TV each day. Amazon's production budget is astronomical by comparison, the likes of SKY have a much bigger budget for top class sport, chasing old ladies for £150 quid seems futile in comparison. The BBC audience is skewed to the over 50s which is unsustainable. Forcing the organisation to change is probably the right decision and should have happened 15 years ago. https://news.sky.com/story/cul [Post edited 16 Jan 2022 14:12]

| BBC funding on 21:20 - Jan 17 by ItchySphincter | So you don’t watch or listen or read the BBC? I take you go out of your way not to use any of their services? Would have thought you’d have learnt by now, Bodger has had your pants around your ankles for years. Bend over gboy. |
No, I don’t watch any bbc channels, don’t listen to any bbc radio, don’t read any bbc web pages on the internet. It’s hardly going out of my way, I just don’t like the bbc. End of

Where did I say anyone was stopping freedom of thought? That’s right, I didn’t. I don’t care if anyone doesn’t agree it’s my views - do you think I shouldn’t post them then? Someone’s wound up, but it’s not me. 😂😂 You’re not on my radar, and I’m not mixing it up with you. If you didn’t quote me I wouldn’t be aware of you or whatever views you hold. Read on if you are not equipt to be challenged to think for yourself. Look up ironic. I am happy to be in the minority. Do you think I should form an opinion based on what is spouted on here? You’re last sentence is worth a mention, because it makes absolutely zero sense. Have a nice day Flash, I suggest you try ignoring me if you can’t handle it. 😂ðŸ‘🻠|
I've handled all sorts in my lifetime mate, I think I can handle a few posts from you.

BBC news and political programmes find it difficult to report news accurately because the tories have, for years, been drifting into a secret government (ERG, Russian funding] so the BBC especially has been afraid to expose their activity. Johnson's trampling of covid rules could no longer be avoided by the BBC as others published the events. He has been breaking laws and lying all his adult life. But he has made a mess of Brexit so those pulling his strings and BBCs realise his time is up and are prepsring his removal wihout coming into the open. It is mo coincidence the Sun, Express, dm, Times and Telegraph are all reporting the evidence while pointing the finger of fault at Johnson.

I know. In all seriousness, please don’t think I have anything against you or anyone else on this board for that matter - just because I don’t agree politically on some things. Despite the narrative peddled by one poster please don’t get hoodwinked in to thinking disagreeing or being opposed to something makes me an enemy of the board and everyone on it because it doesn’t, and I am not. That said, I am am vehemently anti-Bodger and this Tory administration and no amount of cheerleading will convince me that they haven’t caused more damage to this country than any other government for at least a couple of generations, and that doesn’t make me a Corbinite, communist, or raving looney lefty either.

Just understand that some may disagree with your opinions and politics, just as some may agree with them. Maybe, just maybe, a lot of people couldn't stand the thought of Corbyn, Diane Abbot. and the rest of his team running the country, hence the majority chose the lesser of two evils (that doesn't necessarily make them Boris or Tory fans) With regard to Brexit, as a democratic nation, we were given the the choice in a referendum, and the majority voted to leave, I know it wasn't by a large majority, but nevertheless, it was a majority. Of course, it is your prerogative to disagree with a majority decision (and I'd defend anyone's right to do so), you've made your opinions and your political leanings crystal clear, but your constant insinuation that anyone that disagree with those views is a fool or stupid does your cause no favours whatsoever. As far as my political views go, I'm neither Labour, Tory, Liberal or Plaid, I just vote for the best of a bad bunch at the time I'm afraid, Brexit ? yes I voted leave, and given the chance again, I'd still vote leave. There you go, I'm just a nice fella that disagrees with you on many subjects, I'm not particularly clever, not particularly stupid, but definitely cool.

Your first sentence I could turn around and aim straight back at you, but in any case I agree. Just because I saw right through Bozo from the beginning it doesn’t make me fan of Corbyn or Abbot. I’m on record at the time saying that it was a sh!t sandwich and that it was all about everyone making the least bad choice for themselves and their conscience. I didn’t vote Labour and I didn’t vote for the lunatic Lib Dem woman either. So there you go, I made my own least worst choice, for you it was Bodger, for me it was none of the main parties. I never argued the democratic will of the people re Brexit. I never called for it to be overturned, or for a second referendum. I am also on record saying the EU is broken, but my preference would be reform from within, not shooting ourselves in the foot in an act of petulance, causing problems for generations to come. What I will do is react to ridiculous pro-Brexit/anti-EU threads from the likes of Pikey, dgt and Felix which are clearly blatant goading remoaners - and people that don’t agree, funny that init? I have no doubt you’re a nice fella, maybe you don’t need to disagree with me on everything, eh? Regardless of how good this forum is there are some nut jobs on here, we are not them.

And of course the BBC story was briefed to the Daily Mail before it got anywhere near parliament. I’m not surprised. It’s the way the current lot do things.
