Seriously, he was a lovely dog physically, but was a bad tempered psycho. Went for me, my nephew and in laws. She is very experienced with dogs. Just an odd 'un I guess. Miss my old JRT, as we now have a pair of lap dogs. Both nice enough, but a bit twp the pair of them.

Beagles are notoriously difficult to train, hence why so many people that just want a pooch give up on them and they end up in shelters. 😢😢😢😢 As well as being the most funny, loyal, loving and forgiving dogs they are also up there with the naughtiest. People forget they are a nose on legs, a hunting machine, and when their instincts kick in they ain’t listening to you. Because they are bread to hunt they have incredible stamina and no off switch so if you don’t put them to bed like a toddler every couple of hours you end up I’d up dealing with a crazy hound. A bit of a kip every couple of hours and they are a dream. People don’t realise they also have longer puppyhoods and adolescence that most dogs too, basically a couple of years or more.

Good post. When you see beagles at a hunt,it kinda makes yiu realise what they are about. Apart from a Pug,French bulldog or a Dachshund, the last I would get. I just wished me and wifey had the guts to get a Malinois though naughty is not a word that describes how they can be until maturity. Wrecking Ball best description. A dog which,if you do nit entertain,it will do so itself ,at your expense . They will destroy a room in a few hours .
