Covids gone quiet hasn't it. 01:18 - Mar 14 with 3827 viewsJack123

Will it ever rear it's ugly head again? I think if it does, there is zero chance of anyone conforming the way we did again.

Just my opinion, but I really think we have been robbed of 2 years of our lives.. We won't get that back.

Distracted by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the U.K. government quietly released a report that confirmed 9 in every 10 deaths from COVID-19 in England were in people who were fully vaccinated ...

UK Health Security Agency - COVID-19 vaccine surveillance report
Week 8 - 24th February 2022

But how many deaths per infection were there?

Wouldn't that be because, nearly everyone is vaccinated, and those that aren't would be young and fit.

Yes. And the infection fatallity rate has dropped below that of flu.

Science has done a brilliant job.

Or is that because the virus has mutated to become less dangerous?

Yes it has and that was something the scientists hoped would happen as it often does with a virus. A virus that kills to quickly is self defeating because a virus has only two objectives , to survive and multiply.

Anyway, the OP has been answered in no uncertain terms, numbers are rising again and Scotland has changed tack because their numbers spiked,

Pleased we have agreed on an acceptable level of death to align with other nasties we have floating around.

Less pleased with the covid deniers who now appear to be shifting their narrative onto conspiracy theories about Ukraine.

Just cos something is shit and you don't like the consequences doesn't mean that its fabricated and requires a shady geo political cover up.

New World order theories been floating around since the 70s, one assumes most of those that might have benefited then are now 6 feet under.

Less dangerous thanks to the high level of vaccinations even if there are still 7% of adults unvaccinated spreading it.

In our house we are all vaccinated, I caught covid from my boss, my son caught it from me. We weren't good at isolating yet my wife didn't catch it.

Lucky maybe, something to do with vaccines? Regardless, I hardly noticed I had it besides the positive test and that is because of vaccines.

This says you and scotia are wrong about Omicron and Vaccine efficacy in the UK, this chart advertising the efficacy of boosters shows the problems with single and double vaccines for most age groups once immunity wears off.

Note they are Mortality Rates not Mortality numbers.

Interesting how they show how much lower the mortality rate of people who had received three doses compared to the unvaccinated.

As I said, that is what the chart is for.
Unfortunately it also shows that unless you stay boosted you are more likely to die, even with Omicron.
Especially if you combine the single & double vaxxed.
So if the current increase in cases continues it will mean another round of boosters will be essential.

We have been been told there will be more vaccinations, we knew this, we were told it'll be like the flu, a vaccination every year at least.

And what is that "problem" once immunity wears off?

Are you conflating stats, misunderstanding and misrepresenting stuff again becasue you haven't got the foggiest what they mean?

Edit. I've just found the article and it's exactly what you're doing. It proves I was correct all along. It's not rates per 100,000 in the population but in that subset. Remember when you were trying to compare three completley different measurement units and didn't understand why they were uncomparable?

"There were 155 fatalities per 100,000 triple-jabbed people in their seventies in January, compared to 2,248 deaths among those still only double-vaccinated"

How many people aged 70 plus can be split in to those vaccinated groups?

He just does not seem to understand his own statistics that clearly show that for age groups death rates are far higher for unvaccinated than people who have had three doses.

80% of those patients admitted to a local Covid ward and having more intensive treatment are unvaccinated, the 20% who are vaccinated invariably are older and have underlying health conditions.
Person I know had her father admitted to hospital with Covid, he’s 80 something, underlying issues but triple jabbed. He came out the other side and went home, his consultant told him had he not been vaccinated he’d have been going to the mortuary!
Vaccines work.

You just do not understand Statistics at all.
Why do you think that they presented the data if it was not to show that triple jabbed had lower mortality rates?
Which you have just shown to be true by your post.
Now apply the same logic to the unvaccinated compared to the single and double vaccinated.
If you can't see that the single and double rates are higher than the unvaccinated rates you are blind and combined they are much higher.

Are you calling the ONS, NHS and government liars?
Or does your hospital trump the whole of the UK?

You do know how to read a graph I assume?
