Thanks for posting. As I’ve said before I don’t have a problem with increasing the number of AM’s if it’s linked to savings and a cut in the number of Local Authorities in Wales as that would offset the increase, but there’s no way it should come about without greater reform. I don’t have an issue with having equal numbers of men and women AM’s, nor do I have an issue with the AM’s sexual orientation, religion or race, but I am totally against the concept of closed lists because I want to know exactly who I am voting for so I can judge them on their ability to represent their constituents and do the job.
That's exactly it major, colour, religion, sexual orientation or gender are not important but the person themselves is important. The right person must win through, we cannot have a long list of Labour drones, yes people, cronies and family members.
We should have a proper choice, not a labour mandated closed list scenario.

I see along with a much needed covid enquiry the senedd now have announce that it has no plans to carry out an independent enquiry into the death of Logan Mwangi which is believed to be intrinsically linked . The whole manner of how the welsh assembly handled the pandemic should be looked into , as Drakeford kept pointing out throughout "we in Wales do it differently" if that's the case then why not hold an enquiry as part of the lessons learnt process .meanwhile since 2015 how many of these goals have been achieved

Winder why the Welsh Government did not announce this before the local elections
This is sheer madness with result in higher levels of pollution, higher fuel usage driving in efficiency low gears, increase travelling time. All this will add to cost of living crisis. No doubt it will deter tourist from visiting Wales.
Will be a big revenue earner with all the speeding fines.

The impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on Road Casualties Police recorded road accident and casualty numbers throughout most of 2020 were affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic which saw restrictions on how, where and why people could travel within Wales. The restrictions generally resulted in reduced traffic volume for all types of motorised vehicles. The fall in traffic volume consequently led to a decrease in road accidents and casualties.

Which is understandable and the data pre covid showed similar decreases in deaths

What we have to understand is that the politicians making these laws would really rather that people didn't own their own transport at all. Everyone would use publically owned buses or trains. All goods transport would also be publically owned. To be honest, many of them would prefer that people didn't own their own house either.
The ultimate goal is a population utterly dependent upon the Government for everything. A compliant, easily managed population who know their place and are grateful. They are the new Aristocracy.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Its the democratic government of Wales. Voted for by the people of Wales.
Over 70% of the votes backed Plaid and Welsh Labour.
Why dont you stand against them if you dont like the direction of travel ? That direction of travel is currently broadly Devo max.
There is also the new Commission with Prof Laura and Dr Rohan, give them your input for consideration. Not sure returning all arrangemrnts to 1956 as as compelling a vision as you seem to think it is.
Beware of the Risen People

Correct the UK boundary commission, not the UK government is proposing the number of MPs to about 650 with each constituency have roughly the same number of voters.
England 543 up 10 Scotland 57 down two Wales 32 down 8 NI 10 unchanged
Looks like labour are proposing to reduce the number of constituencies in the Senedd to just 16. With each constituency electing 6 members. Voters will no longer be able to vote for an individual candidate or vote an individual candidate out. Looks pretty much an electoral stitchup with smaller parties frozen out. Labour will be guaranteed a majority due to the high density of South Wales valleys, Cardiff, Swansea and Newport. It will be interesting to see who draws up the constituency boundaries. It will almost certainly mean less representation for West, Mid and North Wales.
The current 40 constituencies with first past the post and 20 seats elected by proportional representation will be abolished.
