You said Leon gave a "go forward ball" more so than Grimes, stats prove that categorically isnt true.
Leon by far a better player though. But lets not pretend that Leon was spraying forward passes like Pirlo. |  |

I’m not saying he was - but he used the ball in a much better fashion than Grimes does. His speed and tempo allowed others to make those passes after his quick mind created the space for them.

I agree that Grimes isn't as good as Leon, but i just feel the amount of criticism he gets isn't warranted. A very consistent performer, i do think a 5 at the back system probably doesn't help with ball progression though. | |
