He is his own worst enemy. I believe he has an intrinsic fear of failing, which is why he has the “I don’t care” mask on that has held him back all of his career, as soon as something isn’t going well his first reaction is to look for blame elsewhere so never really learns or develops.
If he ever wins one then he will have pressure to win more from the media and have added expectation that comes with being a Grand Slam winner - I don’t believe it’s something he wants. He has the talent to win multiple, whether he will is entirely down to his mind set.
Predicting Kyrgios is a bit like predicting O’Sullivan in snooker 10 years ago. Talent to do what they like, mindset is such that they can’t be predicted. | |
