| Arguments vs discussions 08:56 - Aug 29 with 3147 views | Dr_Parnassus | Is there a difference? For me there is a clear distinction. Someone very recently asked some questions, upon receiving answers in return to those questions it was claimed it was then an argument. So my question is when does a discussion become an argument? All answers welcome. | |

Or you think that publicly shaming a poster (whether they ‘deserve’ it or not) is not particularly edifying and you accept that if the mods disagree with you it’s an editorial decision and you crack on?

Who's in the bully gang ?

| Arguments vs discussions on 14:12 - Aug 29 by Dr_Parnassus | So why is he still posting is what I’m asking? It’s one of the vilest things I’ve seen on here in probably 10 years. Mocking the death of someone’s daughter because he disagrees with her. That post has been reported and has been for a week. It was discussed about and brought up to SirJohn days ago and a screenshot provided to him. It’s still there. Boundy is still posting. |
I’ve no idea what the discussion was about. It’s hard to be in everyone’s head tbh.

So you think the mods have taken an editorial decision that mocking the murder of someone’s young daughter is fine? Really? Surely calling that out is absolutely the thing to do in a family forum? Don’t tell me you find it acceptable too? Why do you believe Boundy would be shamed by this? He has been open with it, said he’s standing by it and doesn’t care. I think you are now dramatising it because I pulled you up on something last week, You would better served also wanting to know why it seems to be okay to mock the death of someone’s child. If it was your child and someone was complaining, would you say that poster bringing it up is “shaming” the perpetrator? Of course not. [Post edited 29 Aug 2022 21:37]

Boundy, mocking the murder of someone’s daughter. - It was reported a week ago, nothing was done about it. - another poster raised the issue in a separate thread and it was deleted - I spoke to John on that thread where I posted a screenshot - nothing done - Boundy came into the new thread and said he didn’t care and mocked her murder again - I’m now into the 4th page here, posted the screenshot explained in detail… the post is still there, still reported, Boundy is still posting. So my question is why? - is it because that behaviour is seen as acceptable, in which that sets the standard for what is and isn’t allowed in discussion. - it is it unacceptable but being tolerated because it’s a poster the site doesn’t want to punish?
