All Governments have shelf lives IMO. It's never good for them to go on too long. The last Conservative Govt in 1997, The last Labour Govt in 2010. both had reached the end of their usefulness.
In truth this one had probably just about run its course by 2019, but the alternative served up was so unpalatable they stayed on with a larger majority. |  |
