| Martin getting more mentions for WBA job on 08:51 - Oct 14 by jack247 | Any interview that contains ‘in football, you never know what will happen’ is a bit of a warning sign. As is any talk of it needing something special to tempt him away. He’s leaving the door open. To be fair, touting himself out is probably a bit strong in this instance, but he’s publicly keeping his options open. As an aside, I’ve never said it’s an uncommon or particularly distasteful thing. It happens all the time. |
So if that isn’t touting himself… yet Coopers was. What comment did Cooper make that was even more “touting out” than what Martin just said then? I’m trying to get some balance here so we can see the kind of threshold needed. What’s the bar needed to be reached to be considered “touting yourself out”. You previously said speaking to a club doesn’t mean that, hence why you didn’t label Potter or Rodgers as touting themselves out. You have now said it’s harsh for Martin in what you called a public statement alerting clubs he will leave for a better club… So what did Cooper do again?

| Martin getting more mentions for WBA job on 08:17 - Oct 14 by Sirjohnalot | No, not at all. My take on it is that he’s a genuinely nice man, who’s a young family and is settled in beautiful part of the country, and simply said it would take something special to lure him away. He wants to repay the owners for their loyalty when it wasn’t going well. |
We don’t need a nice man nice man per se Yiu re nice but I wouldn’t have you as our coach
