| And they ask why Wales votes labour on 21:38 - Oct 28 by trampie | Would you have to live in Swansea to take the job and could I work part time ? Thinking about it I couldn't apply for a job like that because I'm honest. What about the lovely Leanne Wood have you met her ? I recommend to a boy I know that he go and she her as she was doing a talk in his local village hall and this boy is a full on Daily Mail reader, anti Labour, anti immigrants, thinks Trump is great, loved the Queen, thinks Britain is fantastic, very right wing, loves his politics and he went and he thought she was tremendous (and politically he is the exact opposite of her), he had his wife talk a photo of him with her and sent it to me. Not that she would willing take it but do you think Ms Wood merits a massive pay rise for the work she does ? |
You'd have to work in Swansea but you could live wherever you wanted to. The thing is a good salary will attract high calibre applicants, possibly with a relocation package to those not already living in the area. As a Swansea council tax payer I want the best person possible to be in that role. They'd be worth every penny. I think Leanne got sacked by her employers last year didn't she? Obviously they didn't think she was worth her salary.

She was outvoted for the position of leader I don't know if that constitutes being sacked ?, they had the opportunity of having a guy that had been voted the best MP in Westminster, better than Prime Minister, Chancellor, Home Sec etc etc and they voted for him. I thought you knew the merits of all these politicians down the Bae, it doesn't sound like. Good pay doesn't guarantee high calibre applicants, you can end up paying large sums of money to somebody very poor at the job.

Her constituents didn't re-elect her so obviously didn't rate her. So she clearly didn't deserve her previous salary, at least in the eyes of those paying it. You can employ the wrong person sometimes whatever the role but as the saying goes, If you pay peanuts you get monkeys, it looks like that is what the Rhondda electorate thought back in May 2021.

Her constituents didn't re-elect her perhaps because they preferred the other candidate and not because they thought she wasn't worth the money ? The reality of course is they was voting for Labour, the Rhondda being one of the safest seats in Britain but incredibly Ms Wood had won it off Labour (in a Senedd election).

Right then, they voted for someone else because they thought the other person was a better choice, therefore Ms Wood was a worse choice, the worse choice is thereofre not worth the money as much as the better choice.... The eletorate judged the candidates and Ms Wood was found wanting.
