| My view from tonight's game 22:43 - Dec 30 with 1382 views | magicdaps10 | Good team performance and much needed win....Watford were shocking though. Matt Grimes had a field day tonight, Oli Cooper ran his socks off and others turned u tonight. I think has suggested, some not involved has highlighted what is being planned but the bench suggests weaknesses in the squad that will hopefully be sorted in the window......i will enjoy tonight but won't be getting carried away going forward considering the squad that we have at hand presently. Once we scored the 4th tonight...every single player excluding Benda ran to Joel Lati and you could see the real togetherness with all those lads who were celebrating. Much needed victory, a Victor with some sublime passing and superb movement but this squad is still a bit away from being where some people want it to be.....but today was a superb confidence booster for everyone. | |

It's a confidence boost before Burnley and lets hope we take the game to them too. I'd rather lose fighting like we did tonight than lose being slow and careful!

I think it came from a group of players that wanted to fight for their manager tonight, maybe I am wrong but there was a lot of happiness at the final whistle between players and staff.

Yes indeed , a thoroughly enjoyable game and despite the differing views imo we all want the same , a successful footballing side led by a successful manager /staff , we saw a glimpse of what could be tonight .

| My view from tonight's game on 01:02 - Dec 31 with 1067 views | owainglyndwr | First of all , I was one of the fans knocking R M after the Reading Match . I think Watford were shocking only because we got into a fisical battle and we played through and around them . After we scored the first Goal , looking at how Watford tried to load up front and get the ball across, which I think would of eventually payed off if we had not carried on attacking and playing through them . So we'll done the scouting spies and R M for getting thier tactics right . | | | |

Watford were ravaged by injuries. But was a very good performance from us against a team who were in a Play off spot and have a good squad.

You didn’t see a team with its morale destroyed, broken players etc ?

maybe the difference was we ditched the wing backs, flat back 4 and 3 up front and we were also quicker, more aggressive, more willing to shoot. Iy was a massive improvement, lets keep it this way.

At the start there was a little bit of nerves, as the game went on you could see the confidence grow alas also the morale. Its not as doom and gloomy as some like to make out on here and other platforms.

Playing a back four players got further forward than playing wingbacks ?

They got forward but were not as far forward as they would be as wing backs....Fulton, Cullen and Cooper were asked to cover the flanks both defensively aswell as attacking. Oli Cooper put in a massive shift last night, I wouldn't be suprised if he wasn't starting on Monday.

I thought Cooper's determination in their box in fighting for the ball with a few of their players summed up the night.... keep it up. I say

Yes the shape was better with a back four and when Manning went forward players covering only doing what they are supposed to do also centreback covering as well. Can we afford not to play Cooper against Burnley?

Can we afford not to play Cooper against Burnley? As in many cases with three matches in a short space of time it all comes down to how the recovery is and advice given by medical side. The two matches at home has probably aided the recovery and will help.

If he is fit then no. I can't see after that shift that he is ready to start Monday, if he starts then I will be ultimately impressed. Martin will certainly hope his results come back with thumbs up that he is available.
