He didn’t “miss training”, he refused to train for a prolonged period of time, as did Oba. There is nothing to twist, this is a fact.
It’s also a fact they did that because they don’t like the manager, from the same source who told me he was refusing to train and broke the story before anyone else.

Piroe, Oba and Pato have 73 goals and assists between them in the league.
To put that into perspective, we have scored 92 goals in the league under Russ.
They have all been key to getting us even to the lower mid table position we have found ourselves in most of the time.
Without their contribution I dread to think where we would be. |

Pato has hardly featured. Oba has been regularly dropped despite often playing better than Piroe.
Again, we're not learning much more here than that Martin blames certain players more than others for the failings of his tactical setup. |  |

But why is this season the reference? These problems with them were apparent last season too.
This hasn’t just happened, this has been rumbling on for a year.
During that time they have produced the vast majority of our goals one way or another. It’s been less this season of course, but that’s why we have found ourselves in 16th prior to another 2 goals by one of the above yesterday.
It’s no secret Martin is at loggerheads with many of our players, pointless pretending otherwise just because it isn’t in journalistic print. | |

Well everyone is wrong if they if they've a different opinion to you, don't think there's a team in world football were some players don't get on with their manager, its human nature, even Klopp has and has had issues with some players and moreso them with him, its a fact of life, it happens in all walks of life as well.
So I'd fully expect players to not like Martin and him them, they're all professionals so need to behave as such.

Klopp to my knowledge hasnt had numerous first team players refuse to train. But considering you now think it’s expected that players wouldn’t like Martin, you agree with me then.

If people believe that Russy is a crap manager then every decision he makes becomes suspect, including ostracising players for not falling into line.

Fair points we will just have to see who is here in the next couple of weeks and who is gone. I have had to manage many people who I considered to be a "waste of space" and upset company morale, its not an easy situation to get a solution but you have to. The powers that be are exceptionally happy with the way the management is developing the club, some players are not we all know who the winner will be. [Post edited 31 Dec 2022 22:54]
