Swansea City : There’s still time to build unity & trust with the fans 21st Feb 2023 08:00

Some have cited the lack of investment in the club, others have stated their lack of faith in the head coach, Russell Martin. 1

I just about renewed only because of peer pressure from kids. I looked into match day prices, but there is no way I would pay those prices. It was either buy season tickets or not attend at all.

Just looked on the Boro forum they have a waiting list for season tickets.

Can't give ours away reading this board.

Fans are fickle though and if the club is not spending lots or on an upward trijectory can lose interest or lash out.

The PL has spoilt alot of fans and plenty are missing it.

Personally quite happy to be in the Championship with a club that's run sensibly.

I agree.
As easy as it is for me to go to matches, there are times when a warm house and a view from the sofa are more inviting than a cold wet winter's evening spent watching what sometimes can be poor fare.
I will be there this evening though.
Hope to see us get a second home win on the trot

I just wonder how many would give up their season tickets if there was no other way of watching the matches.

A nd to think we took 40 thousand to Wembley.

No getting away from it the PL has given many a false reality of where we are as a club.

If we were in the play offs now fans would be renewing now hoping to see Chelsea Arsenal or Liverpool.

We have a hard core support the rest come and go.

I feel like I want to punch Martins head in for half hour after most games..and his little turtle faced assistant...do I need a check up from the neck up...?

I would never suggest anyone needs medical attention.

That's same wherever you go though if successful playing attractive football it will attract more fans for enjoyment,if it's boring as,people won't want watch.. for me it's nothing do being in premier league as I have watched since 1978,but I am not enjoying this at all,so dong want go snymore doesn't make me a fair weather as I've supported through some bad times.but zt moment we are rotten to the core with owners don't care never ever hear off them unless it's bull.at least in past owners cared and wanted best for us,except petty and he didn't last long ,but these w@nkers have drained life out me supporting us

YOu are right Chairmen like Struel and Doug successful businessmen until they stepped into the Vetch where as fans they would let their hearts rule their otherwise sound business brains where did that get us?

The sellouts managed something as there was a "team" and they were in effect starting form scratch and that all went awry once we got to the PL

The fault for our current state is not purely down to the ownership the roles of the CEO and manager/coach needs to be questioned....our playing is purely down to Martin yet the CEO and owners have some blame for the fact this lack of performances on the pitch has been allowed to continue for so long

My first match was in 1972 and have experienced the highs countered by the lows of which they out number the former as have many others over the years .A small Club like ourselves is a small because of many reasons and attendances is one major factor in a the growth but that also matches the ambitions of the ownership and common sense should tell us that . I've renewed because I can afford to plus the fact mine is discounted , many others aren't and with the forthcoming fuel rises many won't be able to .
The future of the Club lays in the hands of the younger element who expect much more than my generation ever did . It was pleasing to see yet again a fair few kids last night and
considering who else was playing last night it shows the Club is still a draw for the younger generation , how long remains to be seen but yets again the crowd was small , very small so the interest in the s Club has already started to decline

Crikey, so many people in denial at what is going on. Read the article & open your eyes. People are not attending & not renewing season tickets. The lack of entertainment (dross) being served up on the pitch, lack of leadership being displayed by the owners & poor communications from the club are all issues that are deteriorating week by week, month by month, year by year.

But hey-ho as long as you experienced the good old days of Struel, Sharpe, Petty, Silver Shield etc. that’s ok because it can get as a bad as that again, right ?

Yes you are right there are folks not attending and not renewing seasons....lets wait to find out how many havent renewed though before jumping the gun

The start of a demise looks likely but its not all down to the owners which many of those posting on here are saying.

The owners have been accused of selling off players ...something that has happened at this club since the days of Ivor, but its all the fault of those pesky yanks

The football is bland boring and hardly ever delivers a result for us so folks are disenchated...plus look at last night I bet many stayed home to watch Liverpool V Reasl Madrid plus I bet there were some streams of us on last night so folks have more choice these days.

I witnessed those days you quote and i dont beleive we will get there as these owners have a more prudent approach it may not go well with some fans when no cash is splashed on transfers but I dont think we will get to the point where we are in the High Court

The immediate thing is to improve the fare on the pitch ....we need a change in manager but there is no longer anyone in the club who I beleive we can turn to as an interim and who is available out there currently that would come or will not cost a fortune in compo to their club.
