I just read that they're renaming the Brecon Beacons because "beacon" was a carbon burning signal and its incompatible with the drive for net zero.
Surely it's a wind up? Beacons is a historical reference. It's not like it's offensive in any way and you can have electric beacons too.

The small minorities are welsh and their country is wales and the language is welsh no matter how many people speak it.
You do have a serious problem with people who are proud to be welsh and promote the language.
I very rarely comment on things to do with wales as I do not live there anymore but when arrogant people spout their anti welsh bile I just can't help but stick up for it. |

Trouble is, in Wales people just follow what their parents and grandparents did and vote labour no matter how badly they do.
I endured a 9 miles queue at an average speed of 10mph on the M4 trying to get past the Brynglas Tunnels on my trip to Swansea to watch the Swans this week. All because after 20 years the Welsh government have still not started on the M4 relief road.
Hopefully my return journey tomorrow will be better | |
