Anyone fed up with it all 09:21 - May 30 with 4444 viewsonehunglow

Straight question.
The process
The window
The watching other clubs going for the glory of it all
Coach going
Looking for another
Wondering which players remain and which ones coming in.

Yep, my earliest and favourite memories come from when we were battling in division 4, I wonder how many fans would watch us in league 2 now, especially the ones complaining about us not challenging for a play off place.

I'm one of those unhappy we didn't challenge for a play off place but I would still watch us in Lg2 as the Swans are in my blood and whilst I remember those days back in Div 4 when we had to apply for re election I wouldnt swap them for what we have now

I wonder though would the 14 year old me or modern 14 year olds rush to come to watch us even in the Championship unless dragged along by a relative with all they have to do now, also with live footy on the box which I never had back then.

Yes I have complained about missing out on the play offs because we saw despite what was said about the players not being good enough that when set up appropriately we had that tremendous run at the end of the season where finished 3 points short of a play off place.....think of all those points squandered due to our managers stubborness.

There are many on here who complain about our owners the best chance we have of them changing is to be in the PL.

Football has changed when I first started watching the Swans we had a local owner a fan who as a successful businessman has accrued the monies to "own" us but his engagement as a fan meant his heart ruled his head and he made decisions which were not quite business savvy...we had a local manager a Swansea lad who gave his life literally to the club and did things no manager to day would to keep us going, there were players who were local friends relatives lads we had known from school or as neighbours, even kicked a ball with ...it all helped us to engage.....today it has become soul less, bland concrete stadium which has none of the Vetch atmosphere or the same thrill of walking up the North bank tunnels on a night game and the lights and smell of the pitch hitting you.

Whilst unhappy we failed to get to the play offs...where we might have got promoted bringing with it the bigger incomes which would help our club raise our profile to hopefully bring in the future generation of fans and maybe some new owners..i will still be in my seat next season and would be if it were the PL or even the National League.

Poll: Should Coleman ask Curt for advice/help?

Favourite memories of us in Division 4?
YecGods.
Mine are the play offs when we got to play the Billy big hollow teams.
Wins at Old Trafford and Anfield, that skirt of thing .
Anyone bogging it up as a fan goes on about the old dark days which nobody enjoyed.
I can go back to 1958 so don’t let anyone tell you,Vetchy, those were anything like halcyon days .
They will be sepia coloured images implanted in the brain but this is nostalgia which is toxic.

I want us kicking arse again and not cowering before “ bigger” clubs and all that entails

Hammering Hartlepool was a decent memory.,

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Its been like all my life supporting the Swans, this summer is no different to most. I see it as a new adventure and I am looking forward to it immensely, my only wish is that the change of manager is completed reasonably quickly so that we can make full use of the summer break.

As for watching other clubs going for glory, it has happened every season including when we were in the premier league, someone always wins something that we didn't.

Football is a joy and there to be enjoyed, you should try it. So definitely not fed up with it all.

I have enjoyed our time in the Championship it's an exciting league.
The Prem is not all it's cracked up to be 7 or 8 clubs battling for Europe and 12 or 13 trying to stay up.

The first half of our Prem stint was really enjoyable the 2nd was tough as we slowly declined.

The money spoils it for me as well I mean next season Man City v Luton bit like watching a race between a Ferrari and a Fiesta and there are loads of similar match ups.

Poll: Should we join the Welsh cup next season

That’s pretty much where I am.

The last few years in the Prem wasn’t much fun and it’s a considerably stronger league now.

It’s not that I don’t want us to go up because a promotion season would be so much fun, but it’s that journey not the end goal for me.
