Another good battle on stage 2. Good to see the GC battle kicking off early. Yates boys looking good but can’t see them beating Pogacar or Vingegaard over 21 stages.
Big day for Cav on stage 3 to set the win record - his current form is not good but you just can’t write him off if he gets a decent lead out.

Yep,there has always been cheats and those who bend the rules but the fact remains,doping or not,no sport event is harder physically and mentally.

Swansea fans used to talk about Martinball the same way that Stoke and QPR fans did, and for very good reason. It was mostly f*cking tedious.
Road cycling isn't my cup of tea (prefer watching track) but you can't deny the physical demands of it, even with lots of juicing. Basically everyone else during Lance Armstrong's period was at it as well, so the moral outrage rings hollow to me. |  |

It has always been the case ,sunstone, that TdF has seen riders use whatever they can to enhance performance
It was thus st the beginning
It requires human effort unmatched in any sport so anythongbthSt helps, anything that relieves the pain is welcomed
Add to that the likes of GOAT Anquetil and his change of "damaged" bike and it shows no chance to win is spurned
Anquetil was rather controversial but the first to win five times | |
