| Nice little earner. Cymru am byth 14:22 - Jul 13 with 3922 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Half a million for the winter World cup. Gareth Bale and co helps out Swansea. Swansea city is a Welsh club and this is why it get a decent pay check. Ntcham also played for Cameroon. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/fo Swansea need to get more Welsh internationals and Wales more qualifications. $$$$. The FAW need to understand Swansea play proper football and use the Swansea philosophy as a template for Wales. Cabango, Cooper, Cullen, Congreve, Lloyd, Cotterill Josh Thomas along with old boys Davies Rodon, Roberts, James have all played modern progressive football where player are comfortable in possession and always have a pass available. This is of no use if the manager has a different route one philosophy like Page. Care has to be taken in appointments. FAW should not simply do what is cheap and convenient. The Welsh way has to mean something. [Post edited 13 Jul 2023 14:48]

| Nice little earner. Cymru am byth on 06:32 - Jul 18 by Kilkennyjack | Lets do this as if you were 4 years old. As I have stated above the UK is a soveriegn state. That is a fact. England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland are all nations. The political union of these nations (ie the north of Ireland) is the UK. This what the BBC has to say on the matter updated as of May 2023 .. ‘The United Kingdom is a state made up of the historic countries of England, Wales and Scotland, as well as Northern Ireland. It is known as the home of both modern parliamentary democracy and the Industrial Revolution’. Please feel free to point out where the UN Charter says different. I will then go and tell the bbc that they are wrong. The fact you think Scotland and Wales are regions shows you have no grasp of this topic. Its just unfounded assertion after unfounded assertion. Wales is not a sovereign state like Ireland, but it is a nation like Ireland. Put simply - you are still wrong. This is a matter of fact, not opinion. |
Wales , Scotland and England are not nations end of. They are part of the nation of the United Kingdom. As you well know the UK is part of the United Nations. Wales England and Scotland are not.

| Nice little earner. Cymru am byth on 10:43 - Jul 16 by Kilkennyjack | No its just called Ireland. Strangely their football team is called Republic of Ireland though. |
The enactment of the Republic of Ireland state in 1948 saw Ireland become a Republic in 1949. Ireland has a president and is there by definition is therefore a Republic. Try looking up the definition of a Republic. " a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their representatives and which had and elected or nominated president rather than a monarch" Try at least to study the modern history of your beloved Republic of Ireland. As a previous poster has said their football team is called "The Republic of Ireland " [Post edited 18 Jul 2023 7:24]

Have to say i sort of agree with this, theyve done well on the national team front but the Welsh leagues really haven't seen any improvement. I know many at clubs in the Prem and Cymru south that would agree with that too.

FAW are obsessed with spin and PR unfortunately. It has it place obviously but they coined the phrase "the Welsh Way" like the Swansea way. The Welsh way was notionally what Garry speed professed and it was starting to work. Old school coaches like Coleman and Page were not doing the "Welsh way" (Speed) but old school EPL football. It worked for a while kept floating by Bale but simple ran out of gas. The FAW are now projected their 'Welsh way' as Mick McCarthy hoofball with Page left marooned in a philosophical dead end. It was and will be thoroughly audited and unless things change will be found seriously wanting. Armenia with an Ukrainian technical coach humiliated Wales with beautiful sharp fast football on the deck and much too fast for cloggers Morrell Mepham Amapadu and ageing Ramsey. I watched Wales u21 v Denmark u21 online. The Danes had the swagger confident in dispatching Wales easily as their senior team did. 1-0 and Wales second best. Then Wales started playing football with Colwill to the fore. Wales went 2-1 up v 10 men and the Danes with kittens every time Colwill got the ball. Then FAW coach Matt Jones lost his nerve and parked the bus taking off Colwill. Then against 9 men. They did not know what to do. instead of passing the Danes to death and pressing high they cowardly sat back yielding possession and set pieces. A soft corner goal 2-2 them the heroic coach put on Josh Thomas way too late. Savage had a one on one and the keeper made a great save. Matt Jones choked.

Wrong. Ireland is the official name, it is recognised internationally as such. Yes its a republic like all normal nations, but its still calked Ireland. The Irish constitution of 1937, Article 4 grants two official names Éire or Ireland. It was as Ireland that it joined the United Nations in 1955, and the European Union in 1973. And in the Good Friday Agreement in 1998 the Irish Government is referenced as the Government of Ireland. Ireland is also the name of the country on the Irish passport. Get it right up ye …. ☘️ [Post edited 18 Jul 2023 16:36]
